The Opening of the Temple Doors
IV

To Those Who Run the Race with Patience and Those Who Run Without:

I AM the Hierophant of Luxor, Retreat of the Ascension Flame. I am known among the Brotherhood as the disciplinarian, and among my disciples as the fiery Master, and among those who have rejected the disciplines of our retreat by various and sundry names.

There are those who come to our retreat ready and willing to sacrifice all for the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. <1> There are those who come desiring the prize, but who are unwilling to pay the price.

As I have said before, god requires the allness of men from the smallness of men. To whomsoever He would give His all, He demands all. Those, then, who desire to reunite with God must not expect that God desires to unite with the human consciousness. Nay, He desires to unite with the Christ Consciousness, with the only begotten son, whom He has made and whose Image He has placed for the individualization of the God Flame in every son and daughter whom He has created.

It is the soul purified, consecrated, and fired after the fashion of the Image Most Holy that must come before the altar of the ascension flame as a bride adorned for her husband, prepared for the marriage of the Lamb. <2>  The soul must present itself a living sacrifice if it expects God and His Spirit to present itself unto the soul as the Living Testifier of the testimony of the Law.

The parable of the ten virgins <3>is among the first lessons received by the disciples who come from all walks of life to study in our retreat. Our instructors, adepts of the Sacred Fire, who are assigned to teach the beginning classes explain to the neophytes that if they would be prepared to meet the Bridegroom at any hour of the day or night, they must keep their lamps–which symbolizes the sun centers, or chakras, in the being of man–trimmed with the holy oil of the Sacred Fire that rises as a fountain of Life from the fiery white sphere of the Divine Mother.

The goal of sons and daughters of God alike is to prepare the soul to be the tabernacle of the Mother Flame. For in the plane of Mater, where the voice of God is heard as the call of the Ancient of Days, <4>man must prepare himself for reunion with the Father by consecrating his body temple, his Light and Life to being the fullness of the Divine Feminine in manifestation.

Now to those of you presently evolving in a masculine form, this may be a hard saying. You ask yourself, How am I expected to become the embodiment of the Feminine Ray?  You can understand this, most noble knights of the Flame and stewards of the honor of God, by understanding that the Divine Feminine is but the negative polarity, or the opposite pole, of Spirit. The function, then, of the Divine Feminine is to bring forth into manifestation all that the Father is in heaven, to let Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

As you kneel in supplication before the Almighty, imploring Him to let His will be done, the energy from God flows into the receptacle of your consciousness and becomes, through the heart chakra, the Divine Mother in manifestation. All that is evolving within the plane of Mater is consecrated in service to the Father as, through the Christ, He outpictures the Mother, and to the Mother as, through the Christ, She outpictures the Father. As you pursue this flame and this service, you fulfill the functions of both the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine.

“Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God is one Lord.” <5>  Hence within the MOther, as within the Father, God is one, God is androgynous, god is whole. Thus in whatever plane you may be manifesting–whether in the body or out of the body–the androgynous nature of God must one day be outpictured within you.

Those wearing a masculine form find balance by first pursuing the perfect outpicturing of the Masculine Principle and then using that focus of the Father to attract those godly virtues which form the divine complement of the Mother within them. Those evolving within a feminine form strive first to be the perfection of the Holy Woman, the Woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet. <6>  And in the perfection of that ideation, in the perfect realization of the Mother, they find that the Father aspect unfolds and manifests the dominion of the energies of Alpha and Omega.

Because it is the nature of the Mother to manifest the essence of the Father Spirit in tangible, physical manifestation, all that is evolving tin time and space comes under Her domain. And yet within that domain there is also the perfect realization of the divine complement of the Father-Mother God.

I bring to you this message this day that you might ever strive on the homeward way to be the perfect outpicturing of the desire of god. God has only one desire; and that desire is seen throughout Cosmos as the striving of all of nature, of energies and cycles and spirals, to culminate in perfection through wholeness. I desire this day to set that goal clearly before you and to show you that life without wholeness is transient indeed.

“As for man, his days are as grass:  as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.” <7>  From the opening of the eyes of tiny child, from its first breath unto the last breath and the closing of the eyes upon the screen of life and the withdrawal of the physical senses, there is an arc of manifestation wherein the Divine becomes manifest in the human and Divinity spares a portion of itself that man might evolve, meet the challenge of Life, take dominion over the earth, <8>and return once again to the timeless, spaceless realm of God’s Consciousness.

As the author of Hebrews wisely commented, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” <9>  Hearts afire with the immortal desire to be one, I am here to tell you that life is but a race. There are those who run that race with patience and there are those who, in their impatience to return to the Heart of God, rest not day or night until they attain some mark of perfection, of oneness, or a glimpse of that glory which is to come. I chastise neither. For those who run with patience have an example to set before those who run without and those who run without are a constant goad to those who at times become too patient with the misqualified energies of life.

All Things in Moderation is the motto of those who follow the Eightfold Path. I also teach the Eightfold Path under the Lord of the World. And I would comment that to those beginning on the Path, moderation is one thing; and to those who are advance on the Path, moderation is another. One man’s moderation is another man’s austerity; and one man’s austerity is another’s moderation, and so it goes.

In accordance with the recent dispensation of the Brotherhood that comes about as the result of the victorious ascension of our Messenger as opportunity to those who have determined to ascend after him, I am announcing to all candidates of the ascension and to all who desire to be candidates for the ascension flame at the close of this or their next embodiment that we have arranged classes at our retreat which may be attended by those aspiring after Purity’s matrix.

To those who have said in their hearts, “I desire above all to be perfect in the sight of God, to have that perfect mind in me which was also in Christ Jesus,” <10> to those who yearn to merge with the Flame of God’s Identity and to find themselves made in the image and likeness of God, to those in whom this desire burns day and night–to you I say, Come and be tutored in those precepts of the Law which perhaps have escaped you in this life or which perhaps you have overlooked in previous embodiments.

For we are here to fill in the missing links in the chain of Being so that when the hour of your transition comes and you find yourself as the rose on the other side of the wall, you will have the momentum and the inner soul-direction that will carry you to this or one of the other retreats of the Brotherhood either for final preparation for the ascension or for preparation for reembodiment.

Our first lessons will be concerned with teaching you how to develop the momentum within your soul and your etheric body, which is the envelope of the soul, to propel you through the lower planes of the human consciousness–the physical, astral, and mental envelopes of the planetary body–to the rarified heights of the etheric octave where the retreats of the Great White Brotherhood are focused. We shall then discuss the opportunities for the ascension and various means whereby the individual may ascend.

At present, the requirement of the Great Law remains that the individual fulfill the balancing of 51 percent of his karma and the completion of his divine plan of service to God and man in the octaves of time and space. In order to demonstrate the ascension of the physical body, the individual must balance between 95 and 100 percent of his karma. The remaining 5 percent or less, if it be present, may be consumed by the ascension currents as these prepare the four lower bodies for reunion over a period of forty days prior to the actual event; or, if it is not, for cosmic reasons a sacred white ash may be left after the ascension takes place.

Your beloved Messenger, now the Ascended Master Lanello, made his ascension with 75 percent of his karma balanced. The purity of his four lower bodies, the extraordinary development of his heart chakra, the magnitude of the Light of love focused therein, and the momentum of his service to God and man throughout many noble embodiments qualified him for the ascension immediately upon his transition.

No sooner was the crystal cord withdrawn from the physical form than he was given the opportunity by the Lords of Karma either to take his ascension or to reembody at some future time. In consultation with the Hierarchy and the Christ Consciousness of his twin flame, he made the decision to take his ascension only because it would provide him with a greater opportunity at this hour of world crisis to best serve his loved ones, Keepers of the Flame throughout the world, and all who similarly aspire to God-victory on the Path.

Some of you have received the teaching that after the physical transition, a three-day interim is required before the ascension process takes place. This is true in some cases and is conditional upon the level of attainment of the individual and the purity of his four lower bodies. In the case of Clara Louise Kieninger, the first Mother of the Flame, she also had earned the right to the ritual of reunion by balancing 65 percent of her karma; and thus she ascended from the Bay Area in San Francisco where her transition took place, anchoring in that place in time the momentum of her victory.

You see, it is not necessary that souls come to Luxor to ascend, and yet many do ascend from this temple. As in the case of Beulah Heaney, who became an initiate of the Brotherhood through her studies at the Retreat of the Resurrection Spiral, her liberation came a number of months after her passing, after she had concluded her final preparatory work in our temple and the balancing of the remaining portion of her karma which gave her the 51 percent requirement that was needed.

In each case, when the opportunity for the ascension comes to a lifestream, at the very hour when he has reached the balance of 51 percent, the individual is brought (in his etheric body) before the Lords of Karma so that he might make the decision under the guidance of his Christ Self and the members of the Hierarchy who have sponsored him either to take his ascension or to enter into another round of service on the physical plane. Thus there are many souls in embodiment who have fulfilled the requirements of the ascension and yet remain on earth because of their devotion to the children of God who still require a tangible presence and a physical example among them of one of the chosen ones of God.

The Retreat of the Resurrection Spiral in Colorado Springs was established by fiat from Alpha and Omega as the place prepared where devotees of the Sacred Fire might come and learn from our Messengers the disciplines of Hierarchy and prepare through what is known in the East as karma yoga–the balancing of karma through invocation to the Sacred Fire and service to humanity–to receive the disciplines of the Ascension Temple.

The Master El Morya is the Hierarch and sponsor of that retreat and of our Messengers, who were appointed on April 11, 1971, as its directors on the inner and outer planes where they conduct classes for all who are ready to sacrifice the human for the Divine and to prepare for the glorious reunion of the soul with the Spirit of God. Many who have taken that training both on the inner and the outer planes stand ready this day to receive those initiations that are given at the Ascension Temple preparatory to the initiation known as the transfiguration.

To all then who are runners in the race, who run that ye may obtain, and who strive for the mastery, <11>  I say:  Come this day–come at Easter if you will!  Be bathed in the fires of the resurrection, and ascend on the resurrection spiral that is anchored in our outer retreat until you find yourself merging with the consciousness of the brothers and the sisters of the Ascension Temple, who, like you, are making ready this very hour to meet their God Presence in the air.   <12>

Therefore run with Paul, not as uncertainly. And fight, not as one that beateth the air, but bring the four lower bodies unto the subjection <13> of the Christ and look to Jesus Christ as the author and the finisher of your faith. <14>  For by his great example and the example of the saints of all ages, you shall win your victory and triumph over sin.

I stand in the center of the Flame to proclaim your immortal name.
