To Prick the Conscience of the Nations
Beloved of God, disciples of my Son, brothers and sisters of Gautama, Saint Francis, I am with you today in the immaculate Word. What is this immaculate Word? It is the creative force of the universe. It is locked in your heart, waiting to be released by the spoken Word and by love.
Never forget, beloved hearts, that love is the motive in prayer—love for God, love for all his creation, love for the friend that is even more intense for the enemy. For love truly dissolves the enemy or the enemy-consciousness and thus makes of every part of life an instrument in God’s plan.
I cannot remove myself from world crisis or concerns in the streets of life. My heart is the heart of the eternal Mother whose flame I embody and give freely. Therefore, ensouling a planetary lifewave, I am sensitive to the needs of all.
How does heaven work? The millions upon millions of angels who serve life are sent by God under the direction of his ascended sons or the hierarchs, the archangels, to go to certain areas and conditions. Of course, God may be blamed for calamities of nature, but then it is never known how much calamity is avoided by the prayers of people of all faiths.
For when that prayer is given in love in the Golden Temple of the Sikhs...the recitation of the Koran or of the Buddhist prayers and the spinning of the prayer wheels by those of Tibet—all over the world prayer is invocative of intercession, whether understood completely or not. When prayer is given, God answers by sending angels of light to minister. You also, as all those who are loving and concerned, become the instruments of God’s prayers answered.
Beloved ones, God, too, has prayers in the form of desiring to exalt, ennoble, and raise up life. God desires and does send forth his desiring for his sons and daughters on earth to take up the calling to preserve life, to protect the innocent, to institute laws of justice, and to see that justice is upheld. You, then, may be the instrument of the answering of the prayers of humanity or the fulfillment of God’s own desire.
In my heart, therefore, as I bring to you my musings and meditations of the hour, is a direct concern for the people of Afghanistan and certainly other nations where there is oppression and the direct involvement of Soviet forces. Beloved ones, my concern comes with the understanding of the complexity of the ancient karma of the Afghan peoples and races as well as that of those who form today the Soviet bloc.
Things are not so simple as they seem. We see victim and we see oppressor. Yet, intertwined in all of this is the victim’s point of vulnerability through his own weight of karma. Karma, as you know, separates the soul from God until the soul surrenders and takes up the responsibility for the balancing of all that is not in harmony with God.
This same vulnerability through the ancient turning aside from God created the vulnerability of Eastern Europe. Many have thought it was merely the weakness of Churchill or Roosevelt in the face of Stalin, but I tell you, it is more than an act of the leadership. It is a factor and a point of vulnerability of nations and lifewaves who have left off the worship of the living God. Thus, there are many sides to the outplaying of events.
What we come to say this day is this: it is not the events but it is how people here and now deal with circumstances which may be of their own causing but do not necessitate their lying down and being a doormat to the return of their own unwise sowings.
Beloved ones, the whole world becomes involved in the karma of a situation of injustice in Afghanistan, for now opportunity knocks. Opportunity knocks on the door of every heart and every leader of every nation: What will you do in the face of this injustice? Will you turn your heads or will you take a stand and in so doing incur the disapproval, the wrath, the censure of other nations? Those who fear to be condemned for their actions usually are ineffective as people, weak of character, and not souls upon whom the hosts of the Lord can depend. Often the most unpopular causes are the most necessary to espouse in the long history of a nation or a planet.
Thus, it is not lawful to point the finger to the Afghans and say, “It must be your karma! You must have sinned. We will not come over and help you. This is your problem.” Beloved ones, never stand in the place of the accuser nor sit in the seat of the scornful and say, “Aha! Because you are weak or sick or unfortunate, God must be visiting his judgment upon you!” Take care, for just around the corner thine own karma descends and in that hour you will be grateful to have a single friend remain at your side. So-called friends have a way of removing themselves when adversity comes.
Well, where are the friends of the Afghans? To us they are no longer a people with a karma but people who are symbolic of any or all of humanity having to face superior forces, numbers, and technology determined upon devouring their ancient land. Should any nation be allowed by the world community of nations to devour other nations in the name of power politics or to gain a strategic foothold or resources or energy to make more war and take over more nations? The time has long passed when it was thought, “Give them a few and they will be satisfied.” They are relentless.
Do I sound as though I am repeating the message of Elohim? Well, beloved hearts, understand that the Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood is one in concern for the weakness and indecision and fear of popular opinion that characterizes those Western forces that ought to be at hand for the defense of freedom in every nation.
There is a superior power and force that is available to all people. It is the power of the Spirit and the armies of heaven and the legions of the Lord. You are, in fact, personally helpless to help the Afghans unless you should pack your bags and go and join them in the trenches. And what good would that do? Much more is necessary.
Shall all people throw up their hands in a sense of helplessness? Or shall they appeal to the Lord’s intercession and determine, by the science of the spoken Word, to approach Armageddon (as it is Armageddon, as it is a warfare of Absolute Good and Evil pitted) with the sense of the spoken Word as the sword of the Spirit?
Beloved ones, have you ever thought of this: that warfare comes down to a warring of ideas and ideologies? Is an idea killed because someone who holds it is killed? This cannot be. The idea lives on until it is replaced and superseded by a higher idea.
And therefore, the warfare against totalitarian movements and greed and lust after other people’s nations must be won in the realm of the spirit where there are astral entities, demons and devils, if you will—planes of consciousness where darkness reigns and overtakes the minds of the people in an insane and crazed fashion whereby they are gripped with a madness that for an idea they can kill their brethren and many and destroy a nation for power, for conquest, but always in the name of an ideology, a philosophy, a position that “what we know is better for these people than what they have.”
God is not one who interferes with the orderly process of the individual’s evolution toward a higher truth. He will not suddenly erase the buildup of belief systems of the people of a planet as one would erase a computer and cancel out its programming. God is a believer in free will. He ordained it and stands by the “Grand Experiment”—the experiment in freedom whereby on earth various players play their parts and all can see what is the result of the outplaying of evil, all can see what is the fruit of Communism in the murder of helpless people, nation by nation, all can see what is the fruit of a true religion or a true faith or an independent people.
The experiment in democracy in its republican form in this nation, beloved ones, is filled with trial and error and mistake and setback. One could opt for a monarchy or a totalitarian state to dismiss all of the talk and the going back and forth and the delays and the absence of a one-pointed policy that results from this very system. But you who are Americans understand that underneath it all there is a forward movement of freedom.
This government evolves as the people evolve in the responsibility of self-government. And if they determine not to let the bureaucracies and the monopolies and the manipulation of their supply take over the nation, they will evolve to a more perfect government even as they come to the spiritual understanding, as it has been said by the ancient prophet, “And the government shall be upon his shoulders” <1> —the shoulders of the living Christ.
What Christ? A figure removed from the scene of life? No, the universal Christ present in the very deliberations and working out of problems of all of the people, whose teachers on earth see to it that the net gain of freedoms won are not lost and the process itself is valued. For the process of the evolution of God-government in America is as valuable as the ritual of religion.
It is a ritual to work through and debate ideas rather than to have one supreme sovereign or a triumvirate or a group of the power elite handing down decisions for those who have abdicated their creative spirit and their oneness with God that would make them truly qualified and able to tap the resources of the inner man and come with a practical solution to a community problem.
Beloved hearts, see, then, how God has allowed the outplaying of Good and Evil, for all must choose. Who will be on our side? Moses said, “All who are on the Lord’s side, stand with me.” <2>“Choose ye this day whom you will serve!” said Joshua. <3>The Lord is Truth and Love and the infinite Mind and Principle. To stand on his side is to be his instrument. Thus, one must choose.
One has only to look at the evening news or read the papers and discover always the alternatives that are presented. Are we for or against this or that social or moral issue? Are we for or against life imprisonment or the electric chair for the teenager who kills his father because the father has been corrupt and blasphemous toward his children and his spouse? <4>Do we defend the right of a teenager to kill the father because there are grounds? Or do we say “Thou shalt not kill” must stand?—”Whoso sheddeth a man’s blood shall also have his blood shed by man.” <5>
Thus, the deliberation of the ancient laws that are written applied to present situation becomes the grand dilemma of the hour and the freedom of speech to present all sides, which leads to freedom of action, which leads to some individuals outpicturing the lie and the murder in Afghanistan while others decry it.
Is God not able to win through his people? Is Truth not more powerful than error? Truth is only more powerful when embodied men and women give it life, give it substance, dimension, and are willing to stand for the Truth they believe in and carry it into action.
When defenseless life anywhere can be neglected—when healthy and robust men and women can turn the head and not see the abortion of a child, the death of others through the failure of governments and industry to protect from pollution, deadly toxic waste, nuclear fallout—pretty soon, with the turning of heads, you will come full circle and have to face again, at the beginning, the taking of life.
If you can turn away and not be moved when innocent children die in El Salvador or Afghanistan, then there is something wrong with the individual conscience, the national will, the vision upon which our heritage is based—the ancient tradition of Sanat Kumara, the true Judeo-Christian tradition.
I speak to prick the conscience not only of this nation but of all nations. I come with that relentless and dauntless message of a mother who cares personally for every child upon earth, including you. When I look upon you, no matter who you are, you are my child. I am your defender! I am the one who is zealous to free you from your own enslaving habits and false beliefs. I am the one who will wrestle with devils that prey upon the mind and your own fears and your indulgence in your fears! I am the mother that fulfills that office of pulling you aside when there is danger.
And then, in obedience to the Great Law of the Father, I am also the mother who must step aside and allow karma to descend. For the Great Law turns. And thus, when the Law necessitates that some by accident or calamity are taken from the screen of life, I am there to receive you in my arms and take you to the temples of light where you can realize that this was only a passing experience and that you will live again and be reborn again to pursue your calling.
But I will not send you forth without teaching you what were those causes set in motion in your nation, in your community, and in your own life that allowed you to be helpless in the face of some disaster or some madman shooting a gun into a schoolyard and causing needless sorrow, injury, and death. <6>Beloved hearts, these causes are not simple. They go back to the abdication of responsibility of the members of a community, a town, a neighborhood, of teachers, parents, and general citizens.
The world can be a better place right now if people will only come to the awareness of the immense help of the saints crowding the skies in their numberless numbers, ready to intercede at the simplest call. If you have not experienced the intercession of the hosts of the Lord, try him! Prove him now, he says. “Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord, if I will not pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” <7>
God does not mind that you experiment and try and test him. Realize that he is also testing you. And there are two sides of the fence: God always answers, but if you do not hear, you will have to see to it that by prayer and fasting you deliver yourself from the grossness, then, of your spiritual sensitivities which must be attuned to the higher vibrations.
Now then, beloved hearts, as for an example (of which there are many), Afghanistan is a gross planetary injustice. Shall we forever hear the cry “Not another Vietnam” and upon this preach a philosophy of pacifism—pacifism where the individual does not even speak in his own defense? Well, ultimately, pacifism becomes the sleep of sweet death and the devouring of the soul by forces aggressive. It is not a viable philosophy spiritually or materially.
Peace is a viable philosophy—Peace with honor. Freedom is a viable philosophy. But whoever gained an inch of ground who did not have to defend that ground from someone else who wanted it more? Beloved ones, even the attainment of the point of personal mastery in a virtue of the Path is something you not only fight for and win but must also sustain by daily endeavor. Thus, life is active. The call goes forth: Let us be up and doing!
The solution to every problem begins with prayer—intense prayer that is not satisfied until the Light dawns, as with Jacob wrestling with the angel: “I will not let thee go, except thou bless me!” <8>Thus, until the God-solution appears, until others are quickened and awakened, until a way is found by the nations of the free world to stop the takeover of other nations by Communists or terrorists or agents of the same, let not your vigils cease.
I would ask that this afternoon you turn your attention with utmost concern to the nation of Afghanistan as though it were one of the states of the Union, as though your own nation had been violated, as though Pennsylvania or Vermont or South Dakota were today besieged by such forces. Must I paint this for you for you to ultimately come to the point of deciding to take action? Is the world so vast that you cannot see the oncoming approach and the malintent declared long ago by Lenin and the rest to see the whole world under World Communism? <9>
Beloved ones, you know of my appearances where I admonished the giving of the rosary for the balance of world sin, where I admonished prayer for the conversion of sinners and the protection of the children of God, giving forth the prediction that many would be lost if these prayers did not continue. Now I come to you and I address you of the non-Catholic world, those who have gone on in the path of the teachings of the ascended masters. I speak to you in your own terminology and I speak of the fourteen stations of the cross and the giving of the rosary in this year.
You have heard the mighty dispensation and the turning of cycles of the taking down from the cross of the disciples of Christ on earth. <10> There has been a turning of worlds. There is come opportunity. Thus, henceforth in the giving of your rosary, meditate upon the God-qualities and the victory of the fourteen stations and not upon the via dolorosa.
I extend to you, then, access by the rosary—by the rosary—to my causal body, to the attainment on those fourteen stations which I have gained throughout my long spiritual history. I give you, therefore, the opportunity to receive that power and attainment which God has given me as my great Teacher and as I am his servant. This I transmit to you that it might become close to the physical world and the physical problem through your own physical body and heart.
I propose, therefore, beginning now and continuing on until there shall be a very obvious turning of the tide of World Communism, the giving of the rosary and the calling forth of this divine momentum. I have added the forces of my angels and those of Raphael’s bands to the armies of The Faithful and True and of Maitreya and Sanat Kumara and Archangel Michael to wage war at inner levels with these unseen forces, principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places. <11>
The very root and core of the Serpent’s philosophy and lie of World Communism is what must be defeated, not persons and more persons—not more bloodshed. Remove the cause and core of the Lie and it shall come to pass that there shall be war no more. And they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks. <12>
Beloved ones, the multiplication of life in the earth and the abundant life that ought to belong to the people has been taken by systems, philosophies, and those who have had their self-interests more than the interests of nations and people at heart.
I turn your attention, then, to the adoration of the Divine Mother, to the immense power of that Mother whom I represent as one instrument—and there are many, not the least of whom are yourselves. I turn your attention, then, to the rosary as never before. For it is the single prayer that does draw down the universal power Omega—Omega fire, Omega light. The power of the Mother moving with the forces of the Trinity is the missing dimension in the victory of Armageddon.
Thus, let Liberty—the Goddess of Liberty—the Goddess of Mercy, the Goddess of Justice, and the Goddess of Truth, as individual beings of Light who ensoul an office and are not seeing themselves as superior (or as literal gods or goddesses, as in mythology) but who hold and keep the flame for humanity of cosmic Truth, Justice, Mercy, Freedom—let all of these in numberless numbers be seen by yourselves and invoked by you as emissaries of the universal Mother, the eternal Presence that is the balance and polarity of the universal Father.
As Above, so below—in Spirit and in Matter—let the forces of freedom be implemented by you who are on the stage of life, you whose decisions will make all the difference in the future of planet Earth. I come to remind you that God is in you and because he is in you all things are possible. Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. <13>
Commeasurement is El Morya’s key—the vision of the hosts of the Lord encamped upon the hillsides of the world. Surely, we as a people united in God must not accept defeat or the inevitability of the watering down of world freedom as a compromise that must be taken for the sake of peace. The only compromise that will ever be accepted by the fallen angels wherever they embody, in whatever system, is the absolute slavery of the children of the Light.
The force of Antichrist is not isolated in any one system or nation, but the tares sown among the wheat are scattered abroad. Thus, remove the tares of error from thine own thinking and let the good wheat, as the staff of life, be the fruit of your striving, your meditation, your action, and your stand for freedom. And behold the work that our God shall work through you!
I will be with you daily in the rosary. And I charge you to speak your problem, your need, your concern, whether small or great, to me. And I promise you, I will be there to offer the highest resolution acceptable according to the Great Law of God, including the laws you have set in motion in your life.
Beloved ones, exchange your belief in the law of mortality for the conviction of your heart in the law of immortality, and you shall be free!
I AM your eternal Mother, loving your soul until the hour of your victory.
