May the light of the Cosmic Christ flow into your consciousness. May the dawn of its reality, as meaning, upon the screen of thy mind and heart be inscribed. May the unity of life, as the infinite ocean, beat against the stone tower of thy heart, dissolving in cosmic amenity the soluble into the sea of unity and strength. Grain by grain shall the sand that composes the rock flow. Merging all with the ocean’s power and strength, man will gain a sense of unity, of purpose and oneness. For no man upon the earth is greater than another in the capacity to merge with the sea, in the capacity to envision reality, to hold contact with the Divine.
The flame of compassion that blazes on one heart’s altar is the flame that blazes upon the hearts of all. And the celestial tie of the angelic host is a binding light of ever-present reality, tenderness and wisdom imparted as the sacred book is opened and knowledge conveyed from mind to mind as the leap of a prairie fire or a fire across the forest. The denizens thereof, as tiny animal creatures fleeing the blaze, run in movement to and fro and there is excitement and fear until the quieting moment when the peace-commanding presence of the Cosmic Christ saith unto all, “Peace, be still and know that I am God.” Then in the stillness of the soul man becomes manifestation of infinity and the sand dissolved becomes the sea—the turbulent sea raging or the quiet sea that reflects the brilliance of the sun, the face of God.
Out of the depths have I called unto thee and thou hast heard my voice. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised and there is none like unto him. He who maketh his face to shine upon thee will be gracious unto thee. He who shineth his face upon thee will give thee peace. But it shall be the peace of the heavenly host with honor, not to incite men to praise of thy brilliance but to encourage thee to the heavenly fashion of those things that are to come that now as the shadow of the light casts before us a hope eternal.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth,1 for the former things were passed away. And behold, all things become new.2
