Pearls of Wisdom

Vol. 48 No. 34 - Beloved Serapis Bey - August 14, 2005

Freedom ’83 in the Heart III

An Experiment in Golden Age Living

Part 2

Thus, blessed hearts, the confidence in each one’s heart and the confidence in the Brotherhood in the assembling of those of right heart must needs be observed, a oneness that is a love beyond all other loves. For by this love, Jesus said, will all men know that ye are my disciples indeed, that you love one another as I have loved you.1

I ask that you consider this love as it would be the love of Serapis Bey; for so many of you imagine that I am so stern and that the white light, without coloration, is almost without feeling or compassion. But, beloved ones, please try not to so stereotype the ascended masters that you deprive yourselves of the very heart of hearts of our own wooing by love of our chelas.

We are stern, of course, in the presence of that human defiance of our office and you should also be. For if you tolerate an offense or an affront to your office or to one of these little children, you will lose both your office and your own innocence and the right to care for holy children. Offenses must come, but woe be to those through whom they come!2 And that woe is the descending karma that is invoked by the judgment of the Son of God.

The fierceness of the chohans with human creation is the same in all. It does not differ by the degrees of our rays. It is the same in all the Godhead. It is the same in your I AM Presence. It is the same in Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

But the compassion of Christ is also the same. And the elements of the seven rays form a pattern of intelligence, experience, acceleration, precipitation of qualities that allows you to feel in our presence a certain attainment. And that will teach you that we have that attainment by the specific qualifications of the ray of which we have become the master, therefore being called Lord, or chohan, or “kohän” if you would pronounce it.3

Thus understand that from the heart of Serapis there flows an immense love as the desiring, from my position of God-freedom, to draw you into the ascension patterns of your life! I say, ascension patterns. Understand well of that which I speak.

The weaving of the deathless solar body is for some like a patchwork quilt. I compare it thus that you might understand that geometry upon geometry, point by point—needlepoint of attainment—you attach to yourselves certain patterns that are so set and so wondrous as to become crystal.

Think of the best quality you know of yourself or of a friend, one you trust. Think of one quality that you know is never-failing in that friend—the affirmation of your reality, faith, diligence.

A quality such as this is a pattern of the ascension already set, already crystallized as a jewel, because a lifestream has outpictured that quality for century upon century. It will be the most notable point of nobility of a given soul and that which you appreciate most. Some have one with many facets, others have numerous geometric forms of the unfailing light of God, which they have crystallized already by their words and their works.

Now, this is what I mean by flowing with a pattern of the ascension current and your own ascension—that you recognize this part of yourself to be a part of your permanent reality already physically outpictured in Matter and therefore adding to the strength, the zeal, the permanence and the blueprint of your life, which many follow.

When you move with these patterns [and] the momentum that they create, you are on an upward draft moving into the very fire of ascension’s flame. And the virtue itself becomes a shield against the fire that comes upon you for which the remaining portion of yourself, which is not yet fired and not so developed, may require the purification and does experience a certain burning heat in the process of transmutation.

Thus let virtue be the armor and the shield that you may come closer and closer to the flame, move with it, ride with it, attain by it, work the works of God by it. For, after all, what is the ascension flame but the Mother light within you. And how you adore the Mother light!

I open the ancient memory of your soul to the long lost days of Lemuria, when most of you seated here had greater attainment in the physical dimension, when you had more light, more awareness, which is why you sometimes feel frustrated or exasperated that you cannot do all the things you would like to do and you do not have the power that is almost in your grasp, but not quite, or access to the mind of God in a wisdom beyond your current capacity.

Thus, the dispensation from the Central Sun of a new birth and a new life is specifically unto those who once had it, lost the level of attainment, went below the line of demarcation, descended into the valleys of the serpents, lost much light, began to be sorrowful and to mourn the absence of God, the loss of the Saviour in their temple. For the Christ Self separated out and went higher and higher, apart from the soul, the soul beset by the weight and shackle of human karma.

Thus, my beloved, legions of white fire have taken pity upon that poor plight of those who fell farther than they thought they would when they began down the mountain. Again and again my seraphs have knocked; but in this life you were ready, you answered, you followed, you could not leave the angel. You ran after him, and wherever he went you went. And along the road of life, here and there you found a key or a crumb from our table or words that came to you from scripture like living fire piercing the soul to the very quick.

And each time the angel would move on, you would sense a moment’s aloneness and know that you must then pick up, pack and leave again, once more on the journey of life, not knowing where you were going. But I assure you, that angel knew exactly where and would look back often to be sure you were following.

So the lovable angels, who are the seraphs, did carve a way for you to find back up the mountain—the trail that leads to the Heart of the Inner Retreat. This place is a replica of the secret chamber of your heart. Our messenger is the chatelaine, the keeper of the tower of the castle of the heart.

And as you are in your own heart the mother-hostess receiving, then, evolutions and lifewaves, so you can understand that as you develop the threefold flame and increase the capacity of your own chamber, so the birds of the air will come to nest in your causal body, the souls will fly to your heart and also gather to hear the word of your own Christ Self even as you gather here to hear the word spoken by the messenger of those of us who represent the Christ consciousness of the Central Sun.

Now, my beloved, our offering is [that you may] reenter the levels of a lost estate that you once knew when you were in physical embodiment on earth. Those who receive it best will be those who have diligently applied the law and the teaching and have truly come to the place where they can leave behind the pulls of the world—where they know what they want, who they are and surely that the work of their hands will be sufficient to the sustainment of their bodies, their life and their families.

Those who desire the new birth who cannot quite receive it now have a goal to work toward and a knowledge that it is possible and the assurance from me that by studying the texts of the dictations and Pearls and teachings we have given since 1958 and applying same with all due diligence, you, too, may also arrive at this point of cosmic living.

It is not, then, the earth so much as it is the sign of the footsteps of those who conquer. The place itself is the opportune place to contact the etheric octave. But it is only opportune for those to whom we have opened the door. And if we have not opened the door, then they will not enter though they try.

A mere coming to the physical land in the physical body is no guarantee of entering in. After all, there has been a secret entrance to the Grand Teton for tens of thousands of years. How many have found it in the physical octave? Far fewer than those who have been received in the etheric; but even these are numbered.

Thus, in my flesh I shall see God; yet flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.4 The flame may be descending where you are, but that which ascends unto it in the last will be the soul and the living spirit, and all else must be consumed, transformed and dissolved into the eternal ascended master light body.

Walk in the footsteps of truth. Walk as children of the light.5 Walk as loving hearts who care for one another, who cherish the family as a matrix of God, who cherish one another’s love as no other love; for it is a divine love truly of the Great White Brotherhood that we bring to you and that you feel in your friendships.

Truly cherish this love, my beloved, for some of you have not known such a grace here below, as Above, in many, many centuries. And many of you yet transmuting records of disillusionment must realize that disillusionment always comes from an unrequited love—loves not received or shared or given from the depth that you would anticipate.

This is because you are natives of the etheric octave and of Venus and of the Sun! You have known true and perfect love, and you expect to find it and you give it in good faith. And when it is rebuffed and turned back, there is a sadness.

But I tell you, do not be disillusioned. For love is in the heart of community, and it is a love that both emits from the fount of eternal life and flows from the hearts of its emissaries.

But the love that you receive is always greater than the vessel. Therefore, swim to the source. Honor and cherish the vessel, but do not let idolatry detain you another lifetime by a failure to realize that your allegiance belongs to the source and not to the vehicle. Thus, each in his own way can become the instrument of the source of God and, in so giving freely that love in community, must always point back to the source whence it came.

Therefore direct those who come after you to follow God and Christ, and shun a personal following, beloved ones, whether in this community or in the world. Do not make more karma by allowing people to hang their knapsacks on the hooks of your shelves. Let them not fasten to your belt, but point the way of the source of your own strength, and in this be stern. Therefore, let attachment of the soul be unto God without intermediary of the human kind.

I warn of this because it is necessary, and I give you an understanding of the sternness of Jesus: Why callest thou me good? The one God, it is he that is good. Follow him.6

O perfect love of God, thou who hast opened the way of the ascension to these disciples of our bands, LORD God, One Supreme Being of our life, let thy light descend directly to these hearts and increase by the factor of each one’s devotion ascension’s flame to the victory.

I AM Serapis. I raise my hand. I stand before you that you might not lose the thread of your attainment, your ascension, your memory of a former estate.

Go after it, O my soul! Go after it! It is yours to take and run with, to move with—to transform this earth and land into what she shall be!

In the heart of the Blessed One, I AM the protector of the Mother and her seed always.

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”

This dictation by Serapis Bey was delivered by the messenger of the Great White Brotherhood, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, on Saturday, July 2, 1983, during the seven-day retreat, Freedom ’83 in the Heart, held in the Heart of the Inner Retreat, Park County, Montana.

In a general sense, the meaning of chos encompasses all phenomena, matter and knowledge of worldly and spiritual things. The Tibetan word jo-bo (pronounced cho) means lord or master, Buddha or the image of Buddha. The Mongolian word khan or qan (pronounced hahn) also means lord, ruler, emperor or king. The Tibetan chos-mkhan (pronounced ch-ken or cho-ken) means one who practices or is skilled in the dharma.
