Take Your Stand for Freedom
Part 1
The light of the will of God is the fire of creation within you! I AM that light. For I have chosen to personify that light to the glory of God appearing in all mankind, in the stars in the heavens and in the earth. I have chosen, by my own free will, to commend my being into the fulcrum of light, into the fiery blueprint! So you may choose, also, to be the incarnation of that will.
I have also chosen to stand before you this day. And God has chosen to radiate that flame of love, that you might feel the fervor for the will of God that I know that I AM, that I know that you are.
You call me El Morya. Others call me by other names, as Thomas More, the one sainted for the fervor of the devotion to that will.1 I have come in many guises and disguises to proclaim the will of God to the hearts of the children of God. I have come to the schools of the ancient mysteries and I have come to the Christian pulpits and I have stood in the synagogues to adorn those who worship the Law with the fragrance of that will and the splendor of the diamond without flaw.
I AM Morya. I send forth a ray into the temples, into the churches, into the Russian Orthodox churches. Behind the Iron Curtain, I am in the temples, in the monasteries.
I am the flame of the will of God, and devotees of that will know me in their souls the world around. I have seen to that. For I understand that discipline is the way—the way for Terra to move into the golden age. And I have chosen many among mankind who will come forth in the appointed hour to defend that will and the freedom of Saint Germain. You may rejoice, then, that there are devotees of freedom and the will of God who know not of the Great White Brotherhood or of the ascended masters, yet they are dedicated, as the sword of living truth, to cosmic purpose.
I come with a thrust for a purpose! I come, then, to shatter the density of the outer mind, the carnal mind, the possessive mind. So let it be shattered! If you would stand in the presence of Morya, then be shattered!
For I will not stand in the presence of the tyranny of the carnal mind. I will not stand where there are those who have given their energies to witchcraft and black magic and to the domination of mankind by methods of hypnotism which they have purveyed as the teachings of the Great White Brotherhood. By their fruits ye shall know them.2 And by their fruits ye shall know the [Brotherhood]—the fruit of humility, of long-suffering, of patience, of devotion, of honor and nobility.
Let the cosmic honor flame, then, show forth the true disciple and the true teacher. Those who stand in honor extend the hand of honor. Honor is moving to the blueprint of life, extolling that blueprint. It is the exaltation of the soul in the will of God—not the tearing down of the soul, not the confinement of the soul to this or that way or this or that teacher.
Come into the Fiery-Blue Flame of God’s Will
Come into the flame, the living flame of your God-reality! Come to the retreat at Darjeeling. Come to our hearth. There meditate upon the fire that burns as a fiery blue. No, it is not a gas flame. It is the will of God upon our altar!
Look up, O ye sons and daughters of light! Look up and see the living flame! And know that in that flame is the firing of your identity, the firing of your will and your determination to be free!
Who has taken from you that will, that determination to be who you are? Who has deprived you of your identity? Not I. For I am the champion of your flame, your keynote, the rhythm of your soul, all that God has placed within you to make you whole.
So-called friends, so-called family, they would have you in the mold of their own design. Be free of the false. Return to the heart of the true. And let friend and family be those who champion the will of God within you.
The ascended masters come forth once again to claim the chelas who have found their way to the retreats of the Brotherhood and to our conclave of light. Come into the fire, and know that you are the fire. Come into the consciousness of God’s will. Do not be afraid. Step lightly and quickly before the door of the age closes. The God within you, the Christ within you is the open door which no man can shut—no man save yourself, save your free will.
Yes, you can close the door. You can close the eyes of consciousness. You can turn your back on hierarchy, and hierarchy will bow and withdraw. You will never find an ascended master who will impose upon your freedom or your will. We come only in answer to the Call.
Have you made the Call lately? Have you remembered to speak the Word and the name of God, I AM THAT I AM? Have you called to your Presence? Have you called with fervor and devotion? Have you called to the heart of life? Have you communicated?
This is the age when the communication of the Word is compromised. And the forces of anti-Christ work against the Word as the Science of the Spoken Word, as the science of the energy flow of the chakras—against the Word as flow, flow of love, flow of wisdom.
All that would impede the flow of light within you is antiChrist. Therefore identify the opposition to your Christhood within and without. And let not a condition, a circumstance, a person or a personification of evil stand in your way! For this is the day of your soul’s return to the flame. This is the firing within you of Reality.
Will you stand in the way and tarry there? Will you stand in the marketplace in conversation with those who have not the faintest idea of the will of God, of surrender, of commitment to God-reality?
Be on your way! They will have their day and their atonement and their appearing in the flame. But this is your hour. This is the power of light, not of darkness. This is the hour of the choice—to choose to be all that you are, to choose to be the light that God has placed within your heart.
Martyrs for Christ
And what of all those who have been martyred for the Word and for the Christ? What of those who are in pain and suffering this day because they have dared to speak out for that which they know, to speak for Christ, for Buddha, for Confucius, for the light? What of the suffering ones?
Their names are not revealed. Their plight is concealed. You do not hear of the persecutions of those who desire to be free to worship God behind the Iron Curtain, for they [the persecutors] have put forth the lie that the people are free to worship God. It is not so! Their free will has been taken from them. Will you stand by without a peep, without a word?
[Audience responds: “No!”]
So then, affirm [your support] for these blessed ones who have the courage of the heart to live and to die for their God. Pray for them, I say. They are the salt of the earth.3 They are undergoing the crucifixion of a planet and a people. They are bearing in their bodies and in their souls that torment.
And they know that souls of light have been fooled in the West. They know the softening of consciousness and the brainwashing. They know the turning of the back on the dragon of the fallen ones. They have experienced the carnal mind as a world power and as a mechanization of the flame of the Father.
It is the flame of the Father that is perverted in the lie of World Communism. Do you understand that it is the essential Godhead of your own I AM Presence and the energies thereof that have been used to spawn the lie—the utter lie and the desecration of woman, of children, of the Spirit Most Holy?
And then there are those precious ones behind the Iron Curtain who were found kneeling before a department store in the night. And when asked, “Why are you praying before the department store?” they answered, “This was once a church, and the angels are here, and so we come to pray.”
Have you that devotion? Will you carry the flame of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters that will liberate consciousness and the full Christ-potential within you that can turn the tide of that darkness, no matter what your political conviction may be?
Beware that the Right to Pray Is Not Taken from You
I extend to you the freedom to believe what you will believe. I am here to say that neither man nor state has the power in the sight of God to take from man and woman on Terra the right to worship, the right to believe, the right to enter the flame of the Christ, to realize the soul’s potential. I say, then, that tyranny of the carnal mind is also abroad in America.
Do you know that freedom of religion is also becoming a mockery in this land? Do you know that the forces of greed, of gossip, of tyranny, manifest in local governments, are working against the churches and the devotions and the mantras of the children of light as they are centered in organizations apart from “the norm”? Do you know, then, that that tyranny is moving abroad as the smoke, not of the light of heavenly lanterns but the smoke that is the stench of idolatry and the replacement of the flame of living faith with the encroachments of the state and a state religion?
Beware, children of the Sun. Beware that there is not taken from you the right to pray when and where and how you choose. And as long as you choose the will of God, I defend your faith, your creed, your religion. For I am the light of the will of God blazing upon the altars wherever men and women choose to worship.
Let the light of God’s will rescue souls. Let the light of God’s will give them the freedom to enshrine the values of a government of the people, by the people and for the people—not a government of the manipulators or the archdeceivers of mankind, not a government of the fallen ones!

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”
This dictation by El Morya was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Friday, October 10, 1975, during the Harvest Class, Until the New Day, held in San Francisco, California.
1. During El Morya’s embodiment as Sir Thomas More (1478–1535), he was appointed Chancellor of England and Keeper of the Great Seal by Henry VIII. Sir Thomas devoted himself to his duties with utmost zeal until Henry declared his marriage to Catherine of Aragon null and announced his intent to marry Ann Boleyn. He was lacking a male heir to the throne, which he greatly desired. Since the divorce was without papal approval and directly opposed to the laws of the Church, Sir Thomas refused to support the king’s decision. In 1532, at the height of his career, More resigned his office and retired to Chelsea, where, greatly concerned with the heresies of Luther’s revolt, he continued his writings in defense of the Catholic faith. Without friends and without office, he and his family lived in abject poverty. Nevertheless, Henry had been insulted at the chancellor’s public disapproval and sought to defame him and thus restore his own royal image. When More refused to take the Oath of Supremacy (which implied the rejection of papal supremacy and made Henry the head of the English Church), he was imprisoned in the Tower of London. Fifteen months later, he was convicted of treason on perjured evidence. Sir Thomas More was beheaded on Tower Hill July 6, 1535, affirming himself “the king’s good servant, but God’s first.” He was canonized four hundred years later in 1935.
