I Come to Center Myself in the Soul of Those Committed to the Light
Ascension Day Address
Part 1
Tender Flames Whom I Call My Own, Gentle Shoots, Buds in Springtime Waiting for the Robin to Perch,
So comes the thought of God as a bird in flight, winging its way to merry height to bring you the latest scoop of heaven. So were these emissaries created, these winged friends, to give mankind the hope of heaven and somehow a link into eternity as they glide free across the great expanse of the sky.
Sometimes I also come to twitter and twirp as a bird. Sometimes I come physically as a bird to perch upon your windowsill or in your favorite tree or there in the birdbath that you have so carefully prepared. You never know when an ascended being or an angelic messenger will use the form of a dove or bluebird to come and to give that gentle nudge that tells you there are ideas waiting to be born, poetry that must be written, civilizations that must be carved out, and a momentum of unity that must be forged.
Behold the bee.1 Behold Venus, our star. Behold legions of Mercury! And I am come in the midst and I have the wings upon my head that denote a very special messenger of hierarchy. And thus, as Morya, the Guru, was also chela of another Guru, so the lineage of Mercurians descends.2 For legions now in flight make their way from Mercury’s height, and they come from the center of the sun, from the center of that tiny planet, concentrated energy of rest in motion and ceaseless action. Therefore know, then, that your efforts in striving will be reinforced by Mercurians from this hour forward.
I come also to tell you that as Godfre came to free the souls of cords of rebellion, so I come to center myself, my flame, my voice in the very soul of every man, woman and child upon this planet. This is my birthday gift from Alpha and Omega to you through my own mantle and momentum. And so you see, by prior consent the souls of a planet have agreed—that is, those who are of the light, those who are committed to the light, for I cannot dwell within the solar consciousness of one dedicated to darkness. But to those who espouse freedom and liberty and the Christ as best they see and know, I come this night. And I deliver, this year in this twelve-month cycle, the cornucopia of my momentum, of my causal body, but not of mine alone—that of Saint Germain also and of Morya too. And Mary will not be left out, or Archangel Michael.
And therefore, I will amplify the voice of conscience. I will amplify the murmurings of the soul and the singing of the birds so that mankind will have the divine memory of life in a golden age, so that they will remember that as victory was, so it is, so it shall be, a living potential here and now and for eternity.
I come to proclaim the power of the spoken Word, the Everlasting Gospel, the teachings of Christ Jesus. I come to proclaim the New Day, the new era, and to establish the design of the Church Universal and Triumphant.
Some of you remember that I sponsored the execution as well as the design of Versailles,3 this great monument to hierarchy as well as to the potential of each individual to become a priest-king unto God. This monument must be reestablished. For hierarchy can only be understood as a process of evolution whereby he who counts himself the knave can become the prince by application of the Law. But remember well, he who counts himself the prince and behaves as the knave will ever remain the knave.
The Amplification of Solar Awareness
And therefore, the point of contact of the soul, the seat of the soul, is not at the navel but just below the navel. I point this out, for many have a misunderstanding as to the anchoring of the soul consciousness in the four lower bodies.
Remember, then, that the Christ consciousness is anchored through the heart, the God consciousness through the crown chakra. But the solar awareness, the awareness of God as sun center—which you are, which I am, which Helios and Vesta are—is anchored in that soul, in that place.
Remember, then, to guard the soul, to raise the shield of Maitreya, to guard its emanations, its sensitivity, and above all to use that center to test and test again the vibrations of those who may be questionable or those who are of the light with whom you would attune. I say, then, listening to the soul is going within and feeling the innermost thought, the innermost feeling, and then finding that the soul itself is guided by that Christ mind, by that God mind and is the anchor point in form for the certain word, the certain counsel.
Understand, then, that we direct mankind’s consciousness ever upward in spirals that reach for the I AM Presence. But remember that the soul is the living potential of the I AM Presence, and the descent into Mater was for a purpose—that God himself might be expanded. And so I found, upon the return of my soul to the heart of my Presence, that I had indeed (through earnest striving, through many thousands of years) increased the God consciousness, the awareness of God as selfhood, within my soul. And therefore, cosmos expands each time a soul ascends to the heart of God.
The soul holds the focus for God in the plane of Mater; hence you understand why it is anchored below the heart. This is because the fires of the soul must govern the plane of Mater, which is represented in the chakras below the heart.
We, then, direct your attention to the heart chakra, to the upper chakras. But we say, all the while you must purify your total being so that the soul-awareness may replace that carnal- mindedness and that carnal-awareness by which ordinary men are guided and moved as pawns on the chessboard of the dark ones. Understand, then, that the safest and surest antidote for that carnal mind and for that self-will is a soul that is tethered to the Christ—Christ mind, Christ love, in action through the will of God.
This is the year, then, for the amplification and the purification of solar awareness through the soul chakra, which we call the seat of the soul. Do you understand, then, that Saint Germain and the hierarchies of the Aquarian age, through the flame of God-love, seek to liberate the souls of mankind in this year and in this age? I for one will do my part, and I know that you will do your part and continue to give your all.
Remember, as I said in South America, if this activity is to succeed, then those who count themselves as devotees must be willing to tithe, to give one-tenth of their portion unto the Lord that 100 percent might return to them. And you have noted the teaching of the greatest salesman, which I myself taught from the book by Og Mandino.4 You will remember that he [advocated giving] one-half of all of [one’s] substance to the Lord and became the greatest salesman in the world.
I will be here at the second quarter of the ascended masters’ university to teach you on becoming the greatest salesman for God, for hierarchy, for Lanello Reserves,5 for all that you desire to sell to mankind as the virtue of the Christ. I will be here, and I will teach you how to go forth two by two, how to encounter the world and how to pass through the world.
Transcending the Lie
Now imagine yourself engaged in an argument with someone concerning doctrine or dogma. You stand before this individual, who is arguing in league with many demons of fanaticism, who is heaping upon your head coals of fire, who is telling you that you are damned to eternal damnation by following the ascended masters’ teaching. And just about at the place where you think you have had enough of this argument and this energy and this preposterous lie, you say to yourself [snapping of fingers], “Lanello, come!” And I will come, and suddenly you will walk through your adversary, and he will turn around to see what happened. This is called transcending the lie. This is a very present possibility. It is achieved by mind power through the action of the union of soul, of heart and of head.
You must understand that the feats which Jesus demonstrated, walking through the wall or upon the water, were total mastery of the planes of Mater. You must not wait till you are an ascended being, for then it will be no feat. And I can tell you that the ascended masters in heaven will not be impressed when you walk through the wall! And therefore, if you are going to go to the effort of walking through the wall or walking through the adversary, you might as well make that effort on earth where it will impress!
Now, precious ones, you know that hierarchy is not backing actions of phenomena to impress people, but I am talking about the rolling up of these energies of the dark ones, and their name is Legion.6 I am talking about confronting the lie and overcoming it, walking right through it to the other side, where truth is born.
There comes a time, then, when you must cut off those ones who would speak in condemnation of the truth. There comes a time when you must say, “I will be about my Father’s business. I will go on. For, for every one of you, a thousand wait the message that I bear.” And so, you can point the finger and say, “All right, you who have aligned yourself with darkness, with the Liar and the lie.” (Then find out what the lie of that condemnation is.) “For I must be about my Father’s business.”
And you will find that this will happen so quickly that the adversary will actually feel that he has been passed through by your living Presence, and it will be so. For if you do not accomplish the feat, I will be there. And I will walk through and I will see that some of the energy of my robe will rest upon that one.
The Way of Lightbearers—Fearless, Bold
For indeed we bless all who proclaim themselves enemies of the light. They are friends of lightbearers, for they do push the lightbearers ever higher in striving and in attainment. And after all, if you’re going to have a fight, it might as well be a good one. If there is going to be opposition, it might as well be a good challenge. It might as well demand all of your energy, all of your giving, all of your sacrifice to make you climb higher and higher to be perfect in manifestation, as the sword Excalibur.
No one likes to get in the ring and have a fight with someone ten times less in prowess, in training, in energy. When you look for someone with whom you can play tennis or golf, you look for a good match. Well, I tell you, there are many good matches waiting for you, and you might as well realize that fact. You might as well go forth and be on the offensive. You might as well growl at them. You might as well let them know that this is where it is.
The souls of light are on the march, and you have the lion of Saint Mark7 growling with you and putting forth that energy that will make the dark ones shrivel up like balloons that have lost their air! So do they disappear when you invoke that light, when you stand as conquerors, and when you take the sword of Godfre.
I say, then, go forth with relish, and go forth with the legions of Archangel Michael and K-17. Do not wait for the loud rap upon the door to hide in the closet or under the bed, but go out in the night and corner them and lay your traps of light. And see how they will fall! See how they will shrink! Compel them to go back, and then clear the way for victory! For legions of Victory will march.
This, then, is the way of lightbearers—fearless, bold, filled with imagination, the ‘eye magic’* of God to innovate, to create. This is what love is all about. This is the Aquarian age—the age of genius, the age of the merging of the soul with the Christ mind for the infilling, indwelling Presence of the Holy Ghost.
Can the Holy Ghost inhabit your temple when your soul is not committed to the Christ light? No. Therefore have I come. Therefore have I aligned my energies with the souls of mankind. And I tell you, precious hearts, with some it is a battle to even enter the soul because one must use, as it were, an acetylene torch to pass through the concrete wall of the electronic belt that surrounds the soul.
And so, legions of Surya have volunteered to accompany me on this forage into the depths, for in the majority the souls of mankind are submerged beneath the surface of the psychic effluvia, the astral depths. And so you see, we put upon ourselves our diver’s helmets, our diver’s masks, and we go down fully equipped to take command of that plane, of that level. And the astral belt of the planet will find, all throughout that sea this year, lights glimmering, lightbulbs turning on as souls awaken and illumine the depths and see the need for transmutation and to kindle the fires of freedom.

This dictation by Lanello was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Tuesday, February 26, 1974, in Santa Barbara, California, in celebration of the first anniversary of the ascension of Mark L. 1. Lanello has explained that bees were brought to Earth from Venus. He said, “As I behold the far-flung reaches of the body of lightbearers unascended and ascended..., I think of the hierarchy of the beehive imported from Venus, the hexagonal design symbolizing the six-pointed star, the converging of the triangles of Spirit and Matter.”

In the ancient Roman religion, God Mercury, known as a messenger of the gods, is depicted with winged sandals and wings on the sides of his helmet, symbolizing the concentrated energies that make one quick-footed and quickminded. God Mercury is also another name for Hermes Trismegistus, who was known in ancient Greece as an author of sacred writings and alchemical and astrological works. Hermes Trismegistus is now an ascended master who sponsors El Morya and all others who have come from the planet Mercury. El Morya has said, “The lifewaves of sons and daughters of God who have evolved out of Mercury...come from an evolution which we knew long ago.”
