Become a Candidate for the Ascension through Fulfilling Your Divine Plan
Welcome, devotees of ascension’s flame. I am come into your midst this day wearing a form that I wore many centuries ago as I bore the flame in my heart to transfer, from the temples of Atlantis, a pillar of fire for immortality to be enshrined in the valley of the Nile.1
And so we came, under the direction of the hierarchs of light, who foresaw the destruction of that great continent. We answered the call of our teachers to leave a civilization, a dying world that was yet in its heyday. And we came to the place you call Luxor, the place of light, already consecrated by hierarchs of light, of ascension’s flame, to be that point of contact—in the earth, in the etheric plane, in all the dimensions of Mater—for the presence of that fire which would inspire the people: the ancient Chaldeans in the land of Ur, Zoroaster of Persia, Moses, and all who beheld the Paraclete descending as cloven tongues upon the day of Pentecost.2
And so the ancient focus of the flame we bore, as five came, holding the energies of the fiery core of life within the secret-ray chakras within the heart. And so, the five came with a flame for the immortality not only of the souls of millions but of the soul of a planet.
Fear Not to Enter the Flame
And now you come, you who also lived in the last days of Atlantis, some of you who knew me in the temple there as a priest of the sacred fire. Some of you recall how the priests out of that ancient Order of Melchizedek tended the fires of the ascension flame. And some of you tremble before that flame. Some of you tremble before the fire. And even yet in this hour, the memory of that fear of that fiery, steely whitefire core of life incites within you a trembling that is a record of past isolation from the Law, reservation of the lesser self from the Law, and a withholding of the allness of Self.
I say to you, one and all who have passed by my temple of fire, I live in the center of the flame as a pool of liquid light. I say to you, fear not to enter the flame. For you can lose nothing but the not-self and gain the allness of the Real Self.
I have said, I live in the flame. I AM an individualization of the Great God Self, and I assure you that neither the flame nor God himself has swallowed up my individuality. For I AM here and I AM Serapis Bey. And I AM here to cut through that fear and that doubt regarding ascension’s currents and the fires of the white discipline of conformity with the will of the Law and the divine blueprint of being.
I should say, then, that of all rays, of all lights in the heavens, you should love purity with an utter devotion because purity is your freedom. In fact, when you step into the flame, you find etched in fire and in crystal the permanent identity of the permanent atom of the permanent molecule of being. And you find that all else is consumed and you stand to face the Presence.
And behold, in the mirror of eternal life you see God face to face, and you say, “Lo, I AM made in his image! I AM the image and the likeness of the Holy One!” For in that fire you see yourself as God is, not as you were yesterday in the human consciousness or today or tomorrow, but you see yourself in the foreverness of the invincibility of that cosmic honor flame.
Selfishness Is Attention to the Not-Self
I say, then, I come to impart my will to self-discipline, to the control of energy, and especially to the love of honor. When you have the love of honor between hearts, you can never fail the test. You can never enter into the temptations of selfishness.
Do you know, precious hearts, that the divine vision that is given to you by the power of the All-Seeing Eye of God is that power from ascension’s currents—coalesced as the crystal fire mist into the emerald ray—that enables you to focus energies in being and to focalize, upon the ordered administration of your life, the release of the ascended master teachings and every right activity that proceeds as a scroll hour by hour.
Therefore understand that the waste of time and energy—the dissipation of energies through disorganization, indulgences and every form of intrusion upon the mind of Christ—is, in one aspect or another, a form of selfishness. It is this: it is an attention in some way to the not-self when the attention should be riveted on the Divine Self and the Eye of God, which is the point of precipitation from the planes of Spirit to the planes of Mater, to the Christ Presence of your own Holy One.
Plan Each Project Well and Let Nothing Deter You from Its Fulfillment
If, then, there is failure or defeat or a lack of completion in your life, realize that this is a disease of the four lower bodies, the disease of lack of fulfillment. And I call it a disease because there is no worse travesty of the Law than that of incomplete actions. Lack of fulfillment of the rituals in Matter will, surely as I live, deprive you of union with the ascension flame.
And so I say, whatever you do, before you begin to do it, decide well that this is a project that is worthy of God’s energy, of your time and space, of your allotment in this life. And when you have decided that this project fits in with cosmic purpose, with the goal of the ascension, with your service to God and man, then plan it well.
And when I say plan it well, I mean take your knowledge of the cosmic astrology and plot that project according to the lines of the clock, as you have been taught. And then day by day, give invocations to the flame of the ascension for the release of the energies of the twelve hierarchies to nourish your project, to integrate energies, to organize your time, your mind and the flow of life within you. And see to it, then, that once you have determined that this project is a part of your blueprint of life, that it is your divine plan, you let nothing deter you from its fulfillment.
For when you fail to complete a cycle, you have failed the Divine Mother. You have failed the test of the feminine ray, of Omega and her energies, which are always for the fulfillment of the thrust of Alpha, of Spirit, of Father. And in this age, now precipitating the cycles of Aquarius, remember that this is the time for the fulfillment of the Divine Feminine within you. And above all, it is a time when you dare not fail the Mother, the Mother flame, by failing to conclude each cycle that is begun as a spiral within you from your heart.
When you put aside those goals that you have determined are the will of God, it is usually to put them aside for some concern or involvement in this plane that centers around a self, whether yours or another’s, through some form of sympathy or the attempt of the fallen ones to disorganize or overthrow your project.
You must, however, allow for the evolution of the mind of Christ and of the will of God within your project and submit your project to the will of God, and ask the Lord of hosts to improve upon the design and the plan and the release of those energies as you are able to increase your vision of the ultimate fulfillment of the goal. And therefore, in the alchemy of the Spirit there is room for creative expansion of a nucleus idea.
The Assignment that Is Yours to Fulfill
I come, then, with this teaching this day because I foresee that many of you will be given, shortly, assignments that come from the Keeper of the Scrolls—assignments that have been waiting, as it were, in the wings for you to come to the place of mastery, of an understanding of certain laws, so that you could be entrusted with certain assignments that are required in the world of form and in society today.
And if you make invocations to the crystal fire mist of the white light, together with the emerald rays from the heart of Cyclopea, you will find that day by day definitions of worthy goals and means of reaching those goals will be released to you. And then you will be aware of the assignment that is yours to fulfill as a part of your divine plan in this lifetime.
I perceive, then, that with this dispensation of opportunity —which is an opportunity to become a candidate for the ascension not only through the balancing of karma but also through the fulfillment of the divine plan—that with this dispensation there comes the diametric opposite of forcefields and fallen ones and energies about which you have heard, I think at times too much and I think at times all too little.
In any case, in the planes of relativity, on the astral night side of life, these forces do amalgamate to tear down the image of the Manchild within you. And therefore, to discount these forces when entering into the path of fulfillment through the Holy Spirit is folly, folly indeed.
For the warning has sounded forth and, therefore, in time of failure the Word of God shall indeed go forth: “Who did hinder you that you did not obey the truth?”3 And that is the statement of Holy Writ. For you see, initiations which come to the devotee come because he has been given the Law, the awareness, the sounding and the warning. And therefore in time of failure, the failure is totally resting upon the individual, not upon the cosmos, not upon Almighty God or the Law, and not upon the teacher. For it is absolute law that you cannot be given a test for which you have not been given preparation.
I say, then, when an ascended master stands before you in living pulsating flame—as I do, almost touching the physical octave with my presence, so near have I drawn to your awareness—you must not take that word lightly. For in every dictation that you hear, there is a karmic accountability for that spoken Word that it be lived in your life and carried as a cup, a liquid of elixir, to other parts of life. If you, then, hear the Word, be then doers of the Word,4 for that is your responsibility.
The Chastening of the Law Is the Action of God’s Love
I say, then, you have invoked the divine will and the divine plan, and an aspect of that divine plan will be forthcoming through specific assignments. Remember, then, to accept an assignment is to sign your name in the Book of Life for the ultimate fulfillment of that assignment. And heaven will not accept failure when you have put your name and your pledge and your energy to an assignment you are expected to fulfill!
This is the Law. This is the action of the ascension flame. Let all who fear it come into my presence and feel the flow of love that is, as it were, the inner fold of the flame of the ascension. Feel the love of God for the perfection of your soul. Feel that love so great in its intensity that it is the action to make you whole!
But if you are to be made whole and you stand without balance, like the hole of the doughnut, then remember that you must be brought into the Eye of God and the immaculate concept. And then there is that pain of having to leave behind all mortal gain that it might be replaced with the immortal fires of victory once again.
Hearts afire with truth, if you would be truth, if you would convey truth, if you would convey the flow of light, of healing from the Presence, as Above, so below, remember that you are the tree that must be pruned and that the chastening of the Law is the action of God’s love. You ought to look with utter compassion upon those parts of life who have no one to chasten them, who are allowed to roam the world free and in rebellion and to perform all manner of atrocities against the divine image. These indeed are to be pitied. For does not anyone love them enough to chasten them?
I say to you, if you are chastened, know that you are loved. And if you would be free of the chastening, then I say, be free of the chastening as well as of the love. For the two go hand in hand. And when you feel the absence of the discipline of the Law, I say, it is time to feel the air and to say, “Where did love go? Out the window, I know.” And so, you can’t have one without the other.
And if you would be love to mankind, I say, be love in the fullness of purity and know that I AM the glow of that fire. And in my turban this hour I wear the topaz stone of the crown of wisdom. For wisdom is the crown of love fulfilled as the discipline of the Law.
I bow to the Christ within you, and I commend you to your duties this day.
The Messenger: I would like to tell you that when Serapis Bey came today, he came in through the front door and walked down the aisle wearing the most glistening white linen turban and robe, with his yellow topaz fastening the turban. He came in the great spirit of the discipline of the Law and white fire. And at the conclusion of the dictation, after he had placed this forcefield of himself over me, I opened my eyes and I saw him leave as a whirling pink flame, leaving the same way he had come. And the delicateness of this pink flame of love, following the coming in of the Personal Personality of the ascension current, showed to me the other side of the fold of the ascension current. It was a very happy, leaping flame of identity.
And so, we pour forth our love and gratitude to Serapis Bey, chohan of the fourth ray, to the mighty seraphim, and to brothers and sisters who are studying at the retreat of Luxor preparing for the ascension, acting as our coordinates on the etheric plane as we study here at Summit University for our ascension. Our love goes forth to all the hosts of heaven, all evolutions in time and space.

1. Prior to the sinking of Atlantis, Serapis Bey carried the focus of the ascension flame from Atlantis to Luxor, Egypt. His retreat, the Ascension Temple, is in the etheric octave, superimposed over the physical Temple of Luxor on the Nile River.
