Memories of Mu
I Come Bearing a Scroll for Each One of You,
Which Contains the Records of Your Experiences on Mu
Like billowing clouds, like leaves falling in the wind in autumn, light spirals into this dimension. Downward come the cycles of hierarchy, of infinity, anchoring within the hearts of mankind opportunity to participate in the expansion of consciousness by light—by the action of light.
I AM the Goddess of Light, and I carry scrolls. You would hear of memories of Mu.1 Would you hear of your own experiences on Mu, of your own incarnations and soul experiences on the Mother continent? It was ancient Mu, the Motherland of sons and daughters of God, of priests and priestesses of the sacred fire and of the greatest scientists the world has ever known.
By dispensation from the Lords of Karma and the Keeper of the Scrolls (who holds the record of life for everyone upon this planet), I come bearing a scroll for each one of you. And before I take my leave of you, angels of light will impart that scroll unto your soul and it will be recorded in your etheric body so that you might refer to that record as a measuring rod of your progress on the Path.
Some of you served on Mu in the arts. One of you was a great inventor. One and all heard the desecrations of the fallen ones. You heard their blasphemy and you observed how the high priests, turning to the black arts, did create astral thoughtforms, beasts of prey, hurling invectives against one another. They were the founders of political strife, religious strife. The dark priests fought against the priests of light, and even the priests of light turned to motives and methods not wholly of the Christic light. At first, the war of the priests was a war of astral energies, red and crimson lightning hurled against the dark patterns of chaos. Who could create the ugliest patterns and the darkest designs was a contest between the priests.
As the battle became more and more heated and the darkness of the fray drew more and more innocent victims into the circle of the strife, there came a time when that which was created on the astral plane coalesced into physical atomic structures. The predatory beasts that had once existed as idea, as concept, as energy forcefield, now roamed the earth. From continent to continent the effects of the misuse of sacred fire roamed. Their bodies gross, their minds small, they fought one another even as their creators fought one another.
You have heard of scientists of today who have created life in a test tube. I tell you, their actions and their discoveries are yet primitive compared to the knowledge that was held by the priest-scientists of ancient Mu. The coming of earth changes was the hand of mercy whereby these forms were destroyed. Precious hearts, this earth has been through much groaning and travail over the millennia. And now there is an open door, now there is a sign in the heavens, now cometh the flame of the Divine Mother once again.
Children of Mu, take dominion over the earth! Turn the tables on the moneychangers and recognize that all who walked on the sacred soil of the Motherland have an opportunity in this hour to reclaim all of that energy in the name of Saint Germain for the Aquarian age, in the name of the Lord of the World, Gautama Buddha.
Remember this: That which man has created that is not of the light he must uncreate through his invocation to the Holy Spirit and the correct use of the sacred fire. This is the essence and the all of the teaching.
Karma is the discovery of causes behind effects and the facing of the responsibility for that karma. Once you have learned the law of cycles, of the return of energy and the flux of light descending from the heart of the sun, then you may also concern yourselves with dharma, which is the duty of the Law to fulfill the individual divine plan. You see, both are requirements for reunion with God.
The balance of energy, hand in hand with the fulfillment of duty and the science of service, proclaims to each heart that there is a way that leads back home, that cuts across the labyrinth of the miasma, of carnal chattering, carnal creations, and reaches for the Christ light that in the simplicity of the all-power of God is the jewel in the heart of the lotus. Written on the scroll is the record, step by step, of your attitude and your reaction to the fallen ones and the Luciferians who wreaked havoc on Mu. You will see in this scroll how subtly the designs of the fallen ones were introduced into the subconscious, the collective awareness of the people. Compromise is not sharp,* but it comes through the acceptance of grey tones and of relativity—the relative awareness of good and of evil that comes from having partaken of the fruit of that tree of the knowledge of good and evil.2
You will see, then, how the receding of standards and the forsaking of the honor flame ultimately tipped the scales and caused that Mother flame to go out. And once extinguished, the continent itself sank in a holocaust of fire and even the release of atomic energy.3 You will know in your soul if you were a contributor to light or to darkness, and then you will know in your soul the work that you must work in this age to rectify that record.
In China, in India, in Egypt, in the great empires of wisdom and in the remnants of a lost culture, a lost teaching, you will find that which was taught in the temples of the Motherland. We would reconstruct. We would rebuild a golden-age culture of light and love.
Many of you have locked within your causal bodies the secrets of the ages and a workable knowledge of how to build a new civilization upon the ashes of the old. In order for hierarchy to use you in this age, you must be willing to submit your total energies to the flame, to cast aside all that is unnecessary and to move with the currents of God’s love.
When representatives of hierarchy come knocking on the door of consciousness, as the two who came to the house of Lot in Sodom,4 will you be ready to respond, ready to go forth, ready to take up roots and to call your families and say, “Come apart and be a separate people, chosen of God”?5 That is the byword of the hour—to be ready.
Mobility is the sign of those who are truly spiritual, who are able to move with the wind of the Holy Spirit, to go where the Lord goeth, to be with God everywhere, anywhere at any time of the day or night. This is what it means to be a representative of hierarchy, to be a chalice for light on earth at the crucial moment when that light is required.
You will recall the teaching of the Buddha regarding those who went into meditation without first cleansing their consciousness. Sealed in a room, these initiates were told to meditate upon God. And when they were brought forth after certain hours they were chastised by the guru. They were told that the impure stream, the impure flow of consciousness, had been responsible for an earthquake here, a fire there, plague in another place, mass calamity in another. They were shown the record of the flow of that impure stream and they were taught the diligence of the Law.
We do not begin with the science of meditation. We begin with the science of purification, the cleansing process activated by Shiva the Destroyer, who comes to tear down that which has been built according to awkward design, imperfect pattern, carnality, bestiality.
The breaking down of Mater is the function of the Mother ray in communion with the Holy Spirit. Then when there is a leveling of all those forcefields and creations that are not of the pristine pattern, we teach how to build the building blocks, the science of the Christ, the flow of the Father. Then meditation is in order.
How can you bring to God the fruits of an impure consciousness? How can you suppose to sit in that posture of the lotus when all about you life is clamoring for freedom, a freedom which you can bestow by invocation to the flame of life? Consider, then, that there are steps and stages on the Path.
Do not be allured or enamored by those teachers who would give you the end of the teaching because they seek your favor, they seek to be thought wise among men. Consider, then, the teacher who has the courage to discipline, the courage to sit upon you and upon your carnal consciousness until you conform wholly to the first precepts of the Law.
You will remember Jesus, with all of his attainment. When he came to Luxor he sought the very first level of teaching, initiation and discipline. When the hierophant said, “But I have need to be taught of thee,” Jesus said, “Nay, I would have the very first instruction as preparation for the mission of this dispensation.”6
Going over the simple truths, as with the love of a child who longs to hear the favorite story over and over again, is humility in all of its shining wonder. Humility on the Path is the key to attainment. And the most humble disciple is often more worthy in the kingdom than the most erudite.
We do not disparage wisdom and wisdom’s flame. Wisdom is the crown of all life, of all sacrifice. It is the point in the crown chakra to which all of man’s energies aspire. But remember, in order to elevate that flow to that height you must have mastery in each successive level of awareness, which is governed by the flow of light in each of the 144 centers in the body of man.
I come bearing a taper of light, a taper which I held before the altar, the central altar in the central temple on Mu. This taper was taken from the flame of the Cosmic Virgin, and I have kept that taper in my heart, waiting to bestow it once again in the physical octave at some time and point in Mater, in space.
I come, then, with the sacred taper, and I touch the taper to the heart of the Mother of the Flame in order to increase one hundredfold the action of that flame. In this age our altar is a living altar, for we do not entrust the flame of God to temples made with hands when all the world is in turmoil and confusion and chaos.
If you, then, would dip in to the heart of the Mother, you must increase the potential of the Christ light within your own heart. And then by that contact you will also receive, according to your solar light, an increase of the Mother ray within your heart.
There is a burning, now, in this octave and upon this heart’s altar, as the increase marks the turning of the tide. It is the turning of the tide where once the fallen ones and the Luciferians seemingly held sway over the saints. So now the saints will rise up en masse from every corner of the planet. From every hamlet and town they will come, drawn by the magnet of the flame. They will rise up. They will take dominion. They will overcome by the power of light.
And here is the nucleus, for over this city in the etheric plane there is an ancient focus of the Mother flame. Thus it has transpired that for the release of this dispensation our messenger was required to be in this place, in this forcefield in time and space where there is a flow between two nations and a glow for the entire continent of America.
I direct my light to the heart of each one of you as I implore you to take the energies of this conference and to put them to use in daily life, to let no thing, no circumstance, no one take you from your appointed course to be a Keeper of the Flame of Life. For this is the calling of all who have the gift of life upon Terra—to join your hearts, your voices, your energies in decrees and invocations so that you might be the forerunners who stand for the purification not only of your own four lower bodies but also the four lower bodies of the planet.
Understand, precious hearts, that in communion, in oneness, in the circle of fire of invocation there is always established the electrode of power whereby Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”7 Two or three, ten or one hundred can form that electrode that magnetizes hierarchy and the presence of the Lord Buddha, who is the supreme devotee of the World Mother.
Hearts of fire longing to be free, I say, be free! Cease your longing and claim your inheritance! When you have the science of the Law there is no need to yearn, to long for Truth, for in the name of the Christ you can command Truth to flow in this octave and to restore life to its pristine purity.
This is the message from the retreats of the Brotherhood high in the Himalayas, high in the Andes, high in the Rocky Mountains, as angel devas, cosmic beings, sylphs and undines merge with the forces of nature to restore the balance of a planet, to deliver the earth into the arms of Almighty God.
Now my angels stand before you, each one, forming the arc from heart to heart. And now to you, to each one, they impart into your right hand the scroll, the record. That record must be faced one day.
Had it not been for this dispensation, you would have had to wait until the close of this embodiment to stand before the Lords of Karma to see that record. Instead, you have the opportunity to behold it now. Therefore, study it well.
Make the invocation in the name of the Christ that there will flow into your outer mind the memory of that study and that reading of the record. This is so that you can know in this life how to take those corrective measures and those steps whereby you can fulfill every jot and tittle of the Law and not be found wanting at the hour of your transition.
This is an opportunity that will be extended to all who call to me and to my angels upon hearing this dictation, all who desire to be counted among mature sons and daughters of God who have reached the age of responsibility and know that the Christ within is equal to the task of bearing every sin, every infirmity, every wrong act.
The responsibility for the balance of cycles is within you—not within any guru, not within Jesus, not within any other avatar. For all, without exception, who have truly represented hierarchy have come with a message: Behold, the Christ is within you! By that Christ you shall overcome!
I AM within you forevermore the fullness of light’s dimension.

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”
This dictation by the Goddess of Light was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Sunday, March 24, 1974, during the class In Celebration of the Equinox, held at Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan. 1. Memories of Mu. Mu, or Lemuria, the Motherland, was a continent located where the Pacific Ocean now is. The messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet has explained that the Lemurians began as God-free beings such as existed in earlier ages. They brought forth a culture of advanced scientific achievement as well as a religion that reached its apex through devotion to the Mother principle, which is the white light, the ascension flame. Their culture developed over thousands of years. At a later time, the fallen ones began to invade planet Earth and to teach the people the misuses of the Mother flame. They taught warfare, experimented with genetic manipulation (creating grotesque animal forms), and desecrated the sacred altars and temples of the Mother flame. Ultimately the darkness resulted in the loss of the Mother flame and in the devastating effects that caused the sinking of Lemuria. The messenger has explained that evolutions from the lost continent have reembodied to find their former religion and to balance their karma made on Lemuria. Mrs. Prophet has explained that the cause of the sinking of Lemuria was the loss of the Mother flame, which had nourished the entire continent. Early rumblings of cataclysm occurred over a period of time in Lemuria’s outposts. When the continent sank, it was in a fiery volcanic holocaust.
