The Longing for Wholeness
Part 1
Where upon earth is there to be found a rose so fair as the babe in arms, as the soul unfolding its latent divinity? The rose, in all her beauty, cannot compare to the soul whom God hath made.
I speak directly to the soul of each one. I bypass the senses, the outer mind, the defenses. I bypass all resistance to God as Holy Spirit, and I commune with the potential—flaming, pristine—whereby you are to become God in manifestation. I speak to the innocence. I speak to the gentle heart, to the very center of the rose that is the soul.
Softly and quietly I come into the soul. As the breath of life is received by the newborn child, so the soul receives the infusion, the grace of the Holy Spirit. For I represent the influx of Father-Mother God, twin flames of Alpha and Omega, as the cloven tongues of Paraclete descend to quicken your soul, to quicken your consciousness, to quicken the light manifestation.
I come to remind you of elder days of art,1 of the glory of the One, of the individed Whole.2 I come, now, as the fire of the Holy Spirit to draw you into alignment with the Christ, with your I AM Presence, and to allow you to feel for a moment the soul’s counterpart, the twin flame. Whether manifesting in time and space or in infinity, your soul has that counterpart. And when you reunite with that counterpart, you will find the wholeness of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit manifesting in you as the wholeness of the circle of infinity.
Some among mankind are always dissatisfied, always looking for something they cannot find. At the base of the search, in the innermost core of being, is this longing for wholeness. And whether this longing manifests in the outer consciousness as the desire for name, for fame, to be thought well of among men or to find romance, it is always that impulse in the heart of the soul to be one in God with the twin flame, with the current of Alpha and Omega that was individualized from out of the white-fire core as twin flames of cosmic justice holding the balance of the scale of life.
Until the soul returns to the state of oneness in God, there will always be that dissatisfaction. This is a healthy state as long as you know why you are dissatisfied. For to become satisfied with one’s present evolution means the cessation of the progress of transcending the self. And, of course, the law of transcendence, as you know, governs all of the cycles of the universe.
And so, precious ones, I come to give you a taste of this oneness so that you will remember that through all of your striving, all of your service, you are moving closer and closer to the center of being where you will find an awareness of the circumference of that identity which God has bequeathed to you.
When you begin to lose the sense of separation, you begin to gain the sense of the return to the One. Therefore, as you look upon life and its myriad manifestations, of the faces of daisies in the field and of children looking upward with hope, remember that all that you see that speaks of spirit sparks moving from the center to the periphery of being is so that you might follow on the return of that spiral back to oneness, where all of life merges in the great ocean of God’s consciousness.
To contemplate the oneness of life and then on the wings of contemplation to enter, to experience, to be that oneness, is an exercise which you can practice and accomplish while you are yet gaining self-mastery, while you are working toward the fullness of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
To visualize the white-fire core of being within the heart —expanding gently and slowly and gradually to include all of life—will give you the sense of being bound [while at the same time] being in a state of flow with all whom you know, preserving unity in diversity, preserving freedom in the will of God.
I AM in the center of the rose. I AM the flaming fire of that oneness. I AM in the center of the circle, and I AM the comfort flame.
When I was embodied upon earth, as you are, I contemplated, as a shepherd in India, the flocks in the heavens, the many stars as the sheep of the Good Shepherd.3 I saw how the cycles and the movement of the stars foretold the day when each of the sheep of his pasture would realize a position, a focal point for the intensification of Christ power, Christ wisdom, Christ love in infinity.
Do you know that when you find the centeredness in the heart of the starry body, you find that there you can be partakers of Spirit and Mater simultaneously? You can experience that flow by the movement of energy. And whether the concentration of your effort be in the plane of Mater or the plane of Spirit, you can transcend planes by allowing your consciousness to flow with the electrons as they move from sphere to sphere, allowing the life that is God to energize consciousness here below, as Above.
To be in the center of God’s consciousness is an exercise of concentration of Spirit. And that exercise of concentration and focalization of energy is all in preparation for that glorious moment when there is an explosion, like fireworks on the Fourth of July—an explosion like the splitting of an atom, yet altogether benign. It is when all of the energy that was once concentrated in the center of the heart bursts forth, inundating cosmos, filling all space, becoming part of all time. And suddenly, as in the twinkling of an eye, you are at once the center and the circumference of Being. This thrust into space is the movement of the Divine Mother, is the movement of the energy of the Holy Spirit.
This is the age in which mankind will be initiated into these cycles of solar expansion, the expansion of solar awareness. These thousands of years that have preceded this time in earth’s history have been for the preparation of mankind through the concentration of the energies of Alpha, of the Father as Law, of the Son as the understanding of that Law.
Now it is time to claim your identity as Mother, to claim your identity as the movement of the currents of the Holy Spirit. When you think of the Mother and of the Holy Spirit, you can only think of love in motion, love reaching for the stars, love carrying the message of hierarchy far and wide.
You may wonder, you may be startled, especially if your soul is wearing a masculine form, to consider that you might be the focus of the Mother flame. I tell you, it was just as startling for the early initiates to consider themselves as Son, as Father, when their souls wore a feminine form. But, you see, you have four lower bodies, and each one is the repository for the grace of an aspect of the Divinity.
And so you see that in this age it is the feeling body, the emotional body of man and of woman, that is quickened to feel the gentle impulse of the love of the Cosmic Mother. All that blocks the flow of the energies of Omega into your life must be surrendered, must be delivered up unto the Lords of Life. For you cannot afford in this age to refrain from giving your feeling body to the Divine Mother, that she might release through you a portion of love that is the cohesive power of the universe. And therefore [this flow of the energies of Omega into your life] is for the welding together of the body of God upon earth as it is in heaven.
Likewise, you cannot fail to make the physical temple the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, a tabernacle of the witness of the cloven tongues. Therefore acknowledge:
I AM the Divine Mother in manifestation.
I AM the Woman clothed with the Sun.
I AM the overcoming of all lunar energies which
I place beneath my feet, for I AM God’s
manifestation of the mastery of life.
I AM the fulfillment of the promise of the crown of
twelve stars.
I AM the mastery of the virtues of the Almighty One.
I AM the movement, the action in time and space
of God’s own Spirit of the Holy One.
And thus I cannot remain separate, apart, alone,
for I AM the fulfillment of all cycles of cosmic consciousness.
Indeed I AM the fulfillment of the law of life.
All hail, I AM Father, Mother, Son and Holy Spirit.
I AM the one flame.
I AM the one flame of life blazing upon the altar
of Being.
To claim your divinity in all of its glorious aspects is not blasphemy. It is the fulfillment of thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.4 For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and forever and forever.5

This previously unpublished dictation by the Maha Chohan was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Thursday, April 11, 1974, during the Easter class, The Convocation of the New Birth in the City of the Angels, held at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles, California. On March 25, 1982, Elizabeth Clare Prophet gave this teaching in her community meeting on the Law of the One: “You need to contemplate this message of the One—the one causal body of us all, the one Godhead individed—individed but not divided. Individed means the descent of the soul out of the causal body for God’s purpose of establishing coordinates of Himself in time and space. We are the individed parts but we are still the Whole, we are still the One.”

For I have been a shepherd in many lifetimes, caring for the sheep on the hillsides while praying to God to deliver me, that I might bring deliverance to his own whom he entrusted to my care. And in the midst of my implorings to the Godhead, I was often taken up out of
the body into the heaven-world and escorted by angels to academies of the Spirit where, under the tutelage of the one who held the office of Maha Chohan before me, I qualified myself to wear the mantle of the Holy Spirit.” (Pearls of Wisdom, vol. 38, no. 33, July 30, 1995)
