Hierarchy Is Concerned for the Freedom of the Soul of All Mankind
Our Plan: To Have Individuals in Every Nation Who Embody the Flame of Wisdom and the Teachings
Ladies and gentlemen, children of the light, I greet you in my love for America!
I reminisce to the days when we fought and won the revolution. You know that the Goddess of Liberty appeared to me and strengthened me and gave me the vision.1 I salute her this day. And I tell you, beloved, it is because we believed in God and prayed to God and the fire of our beings. In that fire we were determined to be free—free from the dictates of King George, free from all oppression of Europe.
There is no small reason why the Creator placed the vast seas between Europe and America, and America and Asia. So for many long centuries this land was guarded for the day and the hour when Saint Germain should choose to take up his call and his calling to found the Aquarian age. And so he did found it and we did have our victory.
And there were many moments when we were not certain we would have that victory. Blessed ones, those who stood by me through the end and those who gave their lives were stalwart and impassioned with the flame of liberty. And I salute those among you this day who have reincarnated and been on the battlefield with me. Oh yes, beloved, I shall never forget your faces. I shall never forget your love and your determination. What a handful of troops were we! Yet somehow the LORD was on our side and we came through. And the thirteen colonies thrived and the westward expansion—all the way to the Pacific.
These souls that founded America and claimed it and moved across the states, they had hard times but they had a land that they had fought for and won. And each succeeding generation took pride in that which had gone before. What a glory it is. What a glory it is!
And Saint Germain called me to be his general and then placed me in the position of being the first president. Thus, in the beginning I was able to work with him for the founding of this nation. And in my final embodiment he called me again and called me to deliver now the spiritual foundations that must be laid.2 Thus, he gave to me the teachings of the I AM Presence and to Lotus as well. Therefore, we have seen America in the beginning and in the ending and in periods in between.
The Great Calling That Is upon Us from Saint Germain
My beloved ones, I extend my arms to you and I hold all of you in my arms for what we have been through together, which you may or may not remember, and now the great calling that is upon us from Saint Germain: moving through the levels of the mental body and the lower mind to the Higher Mind to the consciousness of God as the Source that will heal every human ill and bring all people to the point of their higher intelligence.
There be some who will take to this, beloved, and who will use it for material things, and others that will take their accelerated learning3 and recognize that it is the means to pierce through the veil and at last know the oneness of the lower mind with the Higher Mind, and the Higher Mind as your God Presence, one with your Holy Christ Self.
This is the way to live, beloved, the way to live by being joined together to the highest of yourself and the lowest of yourself, to bring up the lows and draw down the highs so that the glory of God and your Christ Self might shine through you—through your face, through your eyes, through your bodies, through your ingenuity and your work ethic and your determination to build this community for every lightbearer in the world. For this is their haven. This is what they are looking for. This is the place that they must come to as their mecca.
I ask you, then, as a second matter of calls, to make fervent calls to cut free those lightbearers that they might experience what they need to experience to fulfill their mission and ascend to God. O beloved, do not forget how you were before you knew this teaching and how you searched and longed and how life had little meaning. Then remember and express your gratitude to Saint Germain by spreading this teaching throughout the world and giving your funds to make that possible.
This is my call to you. For I know and see so many students throughout the world who must have it—and they must have this teaching quickly. I appeal to you, beloved, and I ask you to remember your days of ignorance and Old Night. Now please give the illumination, now that you yourselves have it.
The Physical Defense of the Nation Is Wanting
I come also because of my concerns, and my concerns rest squarely in Washington. And I observe what is taking place and what is not taking place and I must come full circle to the subject again of the defense of the nation. There is a physical defense that a nation must have and there is a spiritual defense. America is mightily fortified spiritually by the devotees of Jesus Christ, Buddhism and other religions. But, beloved, the physical defense is wanting. It is again a shroud, a maya, an illusion. It must be pierced!
You must call daily for the physical defense of your homeland. You must do this, beloved, for the battle of Armageddon, as it has already been said, is not yet over. And he who is vulnerable will surely have that vulnerability, for the forces of darkness will see to it. If you can call and call again and call again for the people of the nation to wake up! wake up! wake up! and see what is happening, then, I say, the hope that Saint Germain has brought to this altar this day shall indeed be fulfilled.
People Must Be Taught and You Must Be Their Teachers
I speak to you also of those on the spiritual path who are not on the right path yet they are stuck on a certain track, and how easily and quickly by the Holy Spirit you can deliver these to the right track. For they are ready and they are open. And they are being led astray by those of great egos and fanfare and pretenders and false gurus and charlatans who come out of India to the United States. Yes, we know of whom we speak. We know very well of whom we speak—those who are leading the children of the nation in wrong paths. And you also know of whom we speak.
The spiritual elite of the world, if I may call it that, they are everywhere and in every country. They will make the best strides on behalf of their countries by coming to this Inner Retreat, being God-taught by teachers and the messenger, then going back to their nations and sowing the seeds that many might bear fruit.
This is our plan, beloved: to have individuals in every nation, and the multiplication of those individuals, who truly embody the flame of wisdom and the teachings. In every nation where there are such stalwart souls, that nation stands a chance of self-transcending and her people being drawn into the octaves of the etheric plane.
People must be taught and you must be their teachers: how to go out of the body at night, how to make the call to the angels, how to go to certain retreats to study there and then to bring back to their homelands what their homelands are lacking in. You are the guardians of the races. You are the guardians of the nations.
You act in Saint Germain’s stead, whereas the Karmic Board may not give him a dispensation, for he has received so many and so many times those dispensations have been misused by individuals. But, beloved, you have not gone through this and therefore you may appeal (and I trust you have already written your appeals in your Karmic Board letters) that you might lay before the Lords of Karma commitments you will make—commitments you will not then cast aside but that you will retain and see through until you have accomplished what you have committed to do.
And, of course, the wise ones will only pledge that which they are certain they can do. You can always come before the Lords of Karma again and ask for another grant based on your success with the earlier grant you receive. This is the better part of wisdom.
Nation by nation, where there are these pillars of fire in men and women and young people and older people, beloved, that nation, then, is as though it had planted in it rods, rods of illumination’s flame, rods in the earth. Yes, again we speak of rods in the earth, for all are concerned in the entire hierarchy of the Great White Brotherhood to hold not only the planet together but societies and cities and countries together and peoples themselves.4
Yes, we are concerned. You can do so much for your nation that, I dare say, beloved, if you knew just how much is returned to your people by your prayers, you would know your worth and your supreme worth to the Brotherhood.
Be Available to Teach Any Child You Meet
Beloved Lotus asks that I request of you, especially mothers, grandmothers and those who care for children, to learn the system of phonograms that is taught here and to always be available to teach any child whom you meet (with that child’s parent’s permission) that you might teach children to read, beloved. It is the ultimate gift that you can give a child. Teaching a child to read is to give to that child his eternal freedom for this lifetime. If the child can read, the child can do anything, go anywhere and decide to be in any business or move on in higher education.
Yes, beloved, the gift of reading is the gift back to the child of his soul, his spirit, his mind, his heart. And where individuals have not had this, beloved, they truly do not have a sense of self-worth. And that absence of self-worth, beloved, is a great and heavy burden as some individuals go through life to a ripe old age never having learned to read. Can you imagine yourself without that ability? And ask yourself where you would be today without it.
Therefore, my beloved Lotus encourages you to have the phonogram kit, to use it and to teach people of any age. When they are literate, they can read anything. They can read the Bible, they can read the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, they can study what the Gnostics thought, what the Buddhists taught two thousand years ago, what Hinduism offers them and what the things of this world can offer them because they are literate.
It is not possible that in the information age people will only receive information either by listening or by other electronic means. There shall never be a day in this world when every citizen does not need to know how to read. Thus, I ask you to recognize the beasts of prey on the astral plane that are attempting to create illiteracy in this country—not only attempting but succeeding.
These are our words for the Fourth of July. And as you can tell, the hierarchy is most concerned for the freedom of the soul of all mankind. I thank you and bid you adieu.

“The Summit Lighthouse Sheds Its Radiance o’er All the World to Manifest as Pearls of Wisdom.”
This dictation by Godfre and Lotus was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Tuesday, July 4, 1995, during the eleven-day conference FREEDOM 1995: “Soul Evolution—A Fusion of Mind and Spirit,” held June 24 through July 4, 1995, at the Royal Teton Ranch, Park County, Montana.
1. “Washington’s Vision of America’s Trials.” The ascended master Godfre was embodied as George Washington. Saint Germain sponsored him throughout the Revolutionary War and during the long winter at Valley Forge, where he received a vision through a mysterious visitor (the Goddess of Liberty) of three great perils that would come upon the Republic. See Saint Germain On Alchemy, pp. 142-51, or The Great White Brotherhood in the Culture, History and Religion of America, pp. 118-23. When Saint Germain anointed George Washington first president of the United States, he gave him the divine blueprint of America.
2. In his final embodiment, the ascended master Godfre and his divine complement, Lotus, were embodied as Guy and Edna Ballard (1878-1939 and 1886-1971, respectively). In the 1930s Saint Germain contacted the Ballards and trained them as his messengers. Through them, the master founded the I AM Activity and released the dispensation of the violet flame.
