He That Keepeth the Citadel of Consciousness

Part 1

Friends of the diamond heart of Morya, I have come from Darjeeling this morning to be in your midst and to place my Presence here through the beloved messenger, that I might take the reading of your consciousness.

Did you know that the Gurus take the temperature of their chelas oft by coming in proximity thereto, oft by extending the Electronic Presence?

And so when you look at my picture and you say to yourself, “The eye of Morya is upon me,” it is!

I address myself to the keeping of the citadel of consciousness. This is a lecture that I will be giving in many forms and from the point of the center of three hundred and sixty degrees of mankind’s consciousness. Therefore, I come to deliver that portion of my lecture that pertains to the chela on the Path. Some of you who would be chelas have studied well my release on this subject.¹

I come to deal with the matter of those who think themselves chelas and yet allow a large room of area around the aura for slack in consciousness, a large room for living unto the law of the self and a gray area of confusion wherein the chela considers himself to be chela and highly acceptable at that. And yet, when it comes to the little and the great admonishments of the ascended masters or the messenger, these seem to pass by as dry leaves in an autumn wind. They are not taken as pertaining to the self.

And so we find within our band of servitors that there are hearts well intended who consider that if they contain the spirit of Morya, and that containment is questionable in the light of their policy of self-determination, that therefore they need not follow the letter of the Law.

The more I intensify my presence within the messenger, the more the messenger finds that the subtle rebellion and stubbornness that is out of keeping with the shaft of blue ray from Darjeeling is uncomfortable, unacceptable. And therefore, you see, we transmit our own reaction to the messenger whereby we must withdraw ourselves from the unworthy chelas who consider themselves worthy.

Blessed hearts, self-righteousness and spiritual pride are an infectious disease, and they have been the undoing of any number of circles of devotees sponsored by the masters of the Himavat.²

I come to correct your understanding in order that your orbit in the new year may come to that point of being as close to the Central Sun as possible and yet in that direct proportion to love, to wisdom and to will. Far more dangerous is the chela who considers himself worthy, and who is not, than is the chela who knows that he is unworthy and is determined to do something about it! And since you yourselves have not the degree of co-measurement, I come to report to you that you ought to consider this day that if you are not responding to the voice of conscience within with speed, with alacrity, with love, then you are failing to respond to me. And in that moment, you are counted the unworthy chela.

Now, beloved ones, there is no permanent status of favoritism among chelas. Simply because you have rendered a gigantic service for our Brotherhood does not secure to you the diamonds of glory forevermore. And therefore, how dangerous is the Path for the chela who is in effective service and who, day by day, mounts up as with eagle wings to per form those acts that generate light and love in our midst. For these are the very ones who can become complacent and in a moment of independence set aside so much good karma which they have accrued to their lifestream.

And so you see, the key to the understanding of chelaship is that God is the doer and that in all works that are wrought through you, to him be the glory. And therefore, you seek not glory for chela, but only again and again to be reduced to the diamond point of light, to have your lesser self and its lesser involvements dissolved, to have the fattened consciousness thinned and to have the self-satisfaction become, rather, satisfaction in the whole, in the community, in the Path and in the alignment.

Beloved ones, those who follow me up the mountain know one thing, that my philosophy is this—life is not worth living when it is lived, even for a moment, outside of the will of God. It is this awareness that gave to Mary the Mother the intensity of her concentration to bring forth the Christ, because it was ordained, because it was the will of God. This is reason enough for those who have risen above the mists of self-indulgence to perceive the crystal clarity of a cosmos, a cosmos all aligned with the will that is the supreme love of the Creator in the creation.

I come, then, to chastise smugness. I come to chastise laxity. And I do not chastise vapory substance of gray floating in the air, but I chastise chelas who have allowed that substance to rest, as the damp and the dank of darkness, within the cloak of garment. Thus I come, ever the reminder that those who would win the eternal prize must indeed govern the citadel of consciousness.

Blessed hearts, there are rooms on earth that we will not enter. There are individuals with whom we will not converse. We may send a ray of light and a piercing manifestation of our consciousness in answer to the call of the chela, but I assure you that the ascended masters do not sit and sup with the enemies of Christ.

Let our chelas take heed! Let our chelas understand that it is one thing to extend the consciousness of God to expose, to transmute, to challenge; it is another to engage in the spirit of compromise and in that compromise to lower the energies of the entire chain of the Guru-chela relationship.

Understand that when you call yourself chela, you have an integrity to preserve and honor to keep! And it begins with respect for your hierarch. Respect for your hierarch engenders respect for yourself. For after all, if you are worthy of having a hierarch—and you are—then you also are worthy of the respect which the hierarch has bestowed upon you by determining to attach himself by the law of the figure-eight spiral to your own being.

And therefore, I demand that you command respect for the Christ within you, that you do not allow yourselves to be trampled upon by those who are in a state of argumentation and perpetual challenge of the light that shines without source, without beginning and without ending—the all-consuming light that simply is the cosmos, that is God, that is Being undefiled!

Let those who stand in the temple of America realize that the Word of the Great White Brotherhood, that the Presence of God must be proclaimed by stalwart men and women who keep the peace in their own citadel by remaining tethered to the Guru, to Morya, to Saint Germain, to Jesus Christ, to Mother Mary. And then, because of that great integrity, [they] may stand and challenge and be the instrument of a tremendous sacred fire such as that which came through the prophets of Israel—the prophets who feared not to go forth and to speak the Word rather than to declare those vapory statements, those pretty little stories of virtue, fearing to release the sword and the diamond of the will of God into the cause and core of error. Beloved ones, error will not capitulate because you stand and tell a story of a war of dinosaurs.³

Beloved ones, Jesus did not remain reciting parables. He went into the midst of the “generation of vipers.”⁴ He went into the midst of the lawyers, the Sadducees and the Pharisees, and he accused them of that which they held in their hearts of hatred, of that which they held in their minds. And they declared him insane, even as they declare the dissidents in the Soviet Union this day to be insane when they speak with the will of God.

Well, I am not insane, but I am supremely capable of transferring the mind of God to you. And I would point out to you that there are little-known prophets who came in the time of the great prophets of Israel. And in each and every case, when they failed in obedience to Almighty God they were removed from the LORD’s Spirit and no longer counted as the voice of the Great White Brotherhood. Yes, there were prophets who failed in the days of Israel because of their disobedience.

And the immense fire of Jeremiah and Isaiah, Ezekiel and Amos came, beloved ones, because of their unflinching obedience to the voice of God who spake within them. And one and all resisted the commission to go forth and speak the Word. But the Word became so powerful, as a burning fire in their hearts, that they could not live except to deliver the denunciation of the fallen ones and their spirals of wickedness, and to proclaim opportunity again and again for righteousness, for forgiveness and for the return to grace, which was ultimately bought by the price of the crucifixion of the only begotten Son of God.

The illustration of the prophets of Israel shows that God is no respecter of persons, that the Spirit of the LORD, which is to be poured out upon all flesh in this generation, will come to each and every one who has determined to keep the citadel of consciousness. It is not something that should be sought psychically, with ambition, with the desire to be the exception, but it should be sought because it is the will of God.

It is the will of God that you be the fullness of himself. It is the will of God that you submit yourselves to the purging of the temple of every last vestige of discarnates and entities of mood substance that allows you that self-indulgence in the moment and the hour of the victory.

It is the will of God that you cleanse the temple of the four lower bodies, stand naked before your God, confess your sins and the unworthiness of the lesser self that you might become the Greater Self; and therefore proclaim the worthiness of that self to be a prophet in Israel, to take your place in your community, to stand for the family, to stand for the Holy Child, to stand for righteousness, to denounce the vibrations of Sodom and Gomorrah, which are galloping across this nation as the fallen ones seek in the hour of their judgment to put upon the little children those perversions of the sacred fire which surely, by the hand of Almighty God, were the destruction of the twin cities of the plain.

3. In a dictation on March 24, 1974, the Goddess of Light spoke of the war of dinosaurs: “Some of you served on Mu in the arts.... One and all heard the desecrations of the fallen ones. You heard their blasphemy and you observed how the high priests, turning to the black arts, did create astral thoughtforms, beasts of prey, hurling invectives against one another. They were the founders of political strife, religious strife. And the dark priests fought against the priests of light, and even the priests of light turned to motives and methods not wholly of the Christic light. At first, the war of the priests was a war of astral energies, red and crimson lightning hurled against the dark patterns of chaos. Who could create the ugliest patterns and the darkest designs? [It was] a contest between the priests. As the battle became more and more heated, and the darkness of the fray drew more and more innocent victims into the circle of the strife, there came a time when that which was created on the astral plane coalesced into physical atomic structures. And the predatory beasts that had once existed as idea, as concept, as energy forcefield now roamed the earth as dinosaurs from continent to continent...the effects of the misuse of sacred fire. Their bodies gross, their minds small, they fought one another even as their creators fought one another.”
