The Initiation of the Equinox:
Putting Off the Old Man and Putting On the New
There Is No Greater Action than the Flow of Love
Part 1
Hearts of infinite fire, I come bearing the radiance of illumination’s golden flame of Lake Titicaca and of the emanation of our retreat.1
The light from the center of the sun is the light of hierarchy, is the light of your own God Presence. You come from far-off worlds and your souls, now veiled in flesh, have lost the memory of your high estate and of your holy origin in the center of Being.
I come to restore memory cells. I come to quicken and to rejuvenate life. I come to swell the tempo of illumination’s golden flame by the action of the resurrection spiral within your very brain cells. Yes, it has been said that you employ but 10 percent of the potential of the Christ mind. I come to increase.
I come to designate each one as a candidate for initiation, for opportunity. The Goddess of Justice has placed into my hand this night the message from the Lords of Karma, which is that by diligence of application on the part of those who have stood for light’s release in this city of Detroit, there can be given to each one of you a certain test at the hand of Maitreya, the Great Initiator.
Maitreya, the initiator of teachers, of avatars, of Christed ones, will come, then, to each one within a fortnight for the testing of the mettle of the soul. He comes so that he might bequeath to each one of you another ring of soul awareness, hence an additional forcefield whereby you, as the Divine Ego, can conquer time and space.
Do you understand, then, that by the diligence of the application of the few, many are blessed? This does not contradict the Law that every man must bear his own burden of light and his own burden of darkness.2 The Law is the Law, and yet within the folds of that law is the precise action of the flame of mercy whereby [an individual who is] one with the Christ can stand as the majority of potential for a time on behalf of others who are striving to be that Christ.
I say, then, in order to come up higher, to ascend the ladder of initiation, you must see each day as a golden opportunity to embody solar light, to intensify light, to transmute darkness. Only the mind of Christ can propel that sacred awareness. Therefore only total alignment with that consciousness can give you the victory.
To surrender the ego, with its preferences, its prejudices, its limitations, is not a sacrifice. Indeed, it is a sacrifice of the Christ consciousness not to surrender. To fail to surrender is to fail to pass the greatest test and to miss the opportunity for another cycle. And who knows how long that cycle will be as counted in the years of mortality.
There is a hastening and a quickening process that occurs now upon earth, where cycles’ door is still ajar and you can still pass through if you will remember who you are. The remembrance of the Christ light and of your flaming potential will carry you far in the hour when you least expect the coming of the great tester of souls.
I come from Lake Titicaca bearing in my arms a garland of flowers, a tribute from the hearts of children, for we also have children who come in their finer bodies to study in our retreat. These are the precocious ones who have a flame and a flair of genius, who portray to life that genius in the arts and sciences. They make their way to our retreat by the magnetization of their heart flame and by a twofold yearning— a yearning for the flame of the Father-Mother God that is anchored here and a striving to perfect the images of the Christ mind. These are they who have been initiates in past lives, who have recently reembodied and who are now waiting for the maturation of consciousness ere they can deliver to the age a mandate of wisdom’s flame.
Mankind are sorely lacking in wisdom’s fires, and the crown chakra of wisdom is not watered, is not tended. For mankind prefer to spend their energies upon their lusts, and therefore they abort the cycling of energy that is for the fulfillment of the apprehension of the Law. Comprehension and oneness with the mind of God demand that you give unto the Higher Mind a portion of that energy that you have heretofore channeled into the ways of the flesh. This is for the building of a cone of awareness, a sacred fire cone within the aura of the mind as a forcefield that cannot fail to attract the energies of higher spheres.
If you would be of God, as Moses admonished the children of Israel,3 then you must be willing to forsake being an animal after the likeness of the beasts of prey. You must decide whether or not you follow the ways of animal life or of divine life. For abroad in the world is the concept that mankind are no more than animals. If you act on this premise you cannot find the divine life, you cannot find communion with the octaves of light.
Take care in the garnering of energy, in the consecration of the centers that are the stars in your own cosmos. Take care, when a part of life requires love, that your cup is so filled with love that you can extend that cup without having to first run to the cupboard, as Old Mother Hubbard, only to find that the cupboard is bare. As in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, those who failed to keep their lamps trimmed were not ready when the bridegroom entered in at the midnight hour.4
You see, then, it’s like failing to fasten the seat belt, the safety valve. It is too late when circumstances conspire and contrive to place you in a situation of danger. It is too late to reach for the seat belt, to reach for the cruse of oil, to reach for the light of Christ. It is through the garnering of the increments of light day by day that you are able to stand in readiness for the coming of the Christ or for the coming of your fellowman in need. To minister unto the needs of mankind is the great requirement of the hour. “Feed my sheep” is the calling of the Lord.5
If this is your first experience in an ascended master dictation and your first experience in the invocation of solar flame, remember the parable of those who came into the Lord’s vineyard at the eleventh hour.6 They were given the same opportunity and the same wage as those who had toiled all the day. Let this be a sign unto you that there is not one among you who comes into this room by accident but according to the ancient maxim “When the pupil is ready, the teacher appears.”
This messenger had no idea she would be assigned to Detroit at this period of time or year. It was arranged by hierarchy specifically so that the personal contact might be made with you through our representative. For in that contact there is the passing of the mantle of the Guru ascended to the chela unascended. You must understand that in the law of hierarchy and in the chain of being there must be the passing of that torch from hand to hand, just as with ecclesiastical authority our light does shine through our representative as the Vicar of Christ, as the representative of hierarchy.
You see, then, you are also representatives of hierarchy. And as you shake the hand of others whom you know and you embrace them with the flow of love, you are also passing the torch from mother to child, to the children of God who are ready for that fire, for that teaching, for that sacred opportunity.
There is no greater action than the flow of love. Indeed, love is not only the fulfilling of the Law but the fulfilling of wisdom. The flame of love is imparted, then, and it scintillates with the fires of wisdom. To truly forgive, to truly love one another is the only way that the reign of the Prince of Peace can manifest. This is the age-old teaching—not new but ever new in the radiance of the Christ.

Thy retreat stands there to bless mankind
’Tis the focus of Illumination’s flame
Gift of God to soul and mind.
Blazing there in the golden Andes’ sacred height
Ever waiting for man to seek its pow’r
And the love of the ones who now guard its holy Light
Holding balance in this cosmic hour.
