The Establishment of the
Order of the Emerald Cross
Be Thou Made Whole!
How lovely are thy gardens, LORD, where elementals and angels and masters meet in the light of the Spirit of the Resurrection! And all of nature this day is hushed in anticipation of the resurrection of Christ, the Saviour!
Saint Germain and I have come from a Grecian temple on Venus, a temple that you would associate with the art of ancient Greece that was brought from Venus and other planets of this solar system. And there we have communed with the light of the Holy Kumaras, and we have meditated upon the flame anchored in Terra now by Lady Master Venus and her offering to life, in love, as the opportunity to serve the Mother flame.
The elementals have made garlands of flowers and endless chains of daisies and violets—elementals of Terra who run to greet the Son of God and to hold the hand of the Mother. These children of the fields and the forests, how they frolic when they hear her gentle footsteps in the way! They know their Mother’s footsteps, for they feel the emanations of God-mastery as her feet contact the earth.
Do you know that the elementals are very sensitive to the footsteps of mankind? And they identify mankind by their footsteps, much as a child will know the footsteps of mother and of father on the threshold of the house.
And so Saint Germain and I have come to you bearing the greetings of the love of the evolutions of Venus, who send to you this day that love that is the love of opportunity’s ray, the love of a mother’s heart as the balance of justice.
And so I AM the Goddess of Justice, and justice is always opportunity. You may not always recognize opportunity, but then if you have taken the teachings of the Mother, you do know that the pathway of justice is there because others have gone before you in the way of self-mastery. And it is truly by the law of hierarchy that opportunity comes, for there must be some who will stand in life for others who would walk the path of overcoming.
And so the evolution of hierarchy, as it is seen from our level of the Lords of Karma, is always a matter of sponsorship. You ask for opportunity to serve, and [the opportunity for] service is certainly all around you. As flowers waiting to be picked, as flames springing up beneath your feet, so the opportunities for service are endless.
I remember a young girl who sought opportunity by going into the hospitals and ministering unto those sick at mind and heart, ministering by keeping the flame of listening grace, by listening to the problems as they were told by the patients, listening and imparting a flame though she was not tutored in the way of the psychology or the sociology that those who worked with these patients were. And I remember the flame that yet burns in that hospital because someone cared to extend opportunity when most of mankind would consider that such patients, having spent themselves on drugs and alcohol, were no longer worthy of opportunity.
Mankind judge one another harshly. Our judgments must be based on the mercy of the Law. And when we see those in embodiment, even the hardened criminal on death row, our prayer to God is, “O LORD God, as long as you will sustain life in this form and consciousness, we will offer the opportunity of overcoming and the flame of hope for the bursting of the Christ consciousness.”
And so, long after the doctors and the scientists and the case workers have given up on many who walk the earth this day, the Lords of Karma yet come with that ray of opportunity. The balance is very delicate, for often these are the most rebellious in incarnation and they have forsaken the Way and rebelled against the law of hierarchy for many incarnations. Yet why, oh why, are they given life if not to overcome?
Therefore when you consider your descent into the astral plane, see how you can be of service among those—whether in society or apart from society in institutions—who need a love that is a fire, an all-consuming fire that on contact will burn away the sheath of rebellion and schism and the splits of the four lower bodies that cause them to rave and to carry on as though they were not a part of this evolution.
I remember the Christ who cast out the demons and the evil spirits, but the exorcism of these children of God is not enough. As Jesus said, “Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”1 Those whose four lower bodies are torn and split, those whose chakras are invaded by the substance of the astral plane, these require healing and healing love and the sustaining of a flame of the immaculate conception that is held in the heart of Mary the Mother.
We are concerned regarding those individuals who live on the periphery of the social order because they cannot make their way in the cities of this world. Greater and greater numbers among mankind are finding themselves out of alignment with all reality, and there is a rising epidemic, not wholly perceived, of those who are no longer capable of functioning in society.
Precious ones, it is the hour of the Dark Cycle, and the Dark Cycle in the emotional quadrant. The returning karma, then, of mankind’s misuse of the feeling body and of energy in motion, combined with the tensions of your modern life and the hectic days and nights, is stripping the children of God of the delicate sheaths of the aura, of the nervous system and of the brain, which are necessary for the proper conducting of energy.
Crime is on the increase in America, and the hordes of darkness who move across the cities carrying their murderous intent are entering into the consciousness of those who are no longer able to tether to a norm, to a balance, and to the inner core of being.
I come in the name of the evolutions of Venus and in the name of the Lords of Karma, and I ask you to keep the flame. For you will see that as more and more madness is generated among the evolutions of Terra, those who are the deranged, the burdened, will come into prominence in places of power in science, in medicine, in nuclear energy, in research, in warfare.
Indeed it has been the madmen of the past who have brought holocaust upon Terra, who have caused the sinking of the continents and the compromise of the flame of life. It has been these scientist-priests of the evil ones who have worked the destruction of entire planetary bodies, such as the destroyed planets Maldek and Hedron.2 And almost every system in the galaxy bears record of the ravages of those who if they knew better would do better.
But, you see, rebellion itself is insanity. Rebellion itself is the open door to that witchcraft that destroys the flame of the Mother within the soul. And inasmuch as the evolutions of Terra have demonstrated the terror of their rebellion for generations, you can calculate that the returning karma of the Dark Cycle coming from the astral plane is calculated to produce a great deal of misery and of suffering and of torment.
And therefore Jesus comes to the City of the Angels with his legions of angels to rescue souls. Let them pursue balance in life. Let them be taught correct habits of eating and sleeping and of communion and of exercise and of the movement of the mind and of the cycles of the days and the weeks. Let the Keepers of the Flame be ministers unto all life.
And now let the Order of the Emerald Cross3 be established as the sign of the coming of Mary, the Mother of Christ, and her consort, Raphael the Archangel, to the City of the Angels in order to establish a focus of healing for all who will come not only for the teaching but to touch the hem of the garment of the Divine Mother.
And let those who would serve this order refine within themselves that powerful momentum of healing that Jesus carried in his garment. And let the Keepers of the Flame realize that where there is the spark of life, there is hope. And where there is hope, there is the hope of the will of God and the will to be whole. And where there is even a spark of the will to be whole, there is a tie-in for the action of healing.
Those who lack this hope and this sense of life must be opened by love, as the sun shines upon the floral kingdom. So the bud of consciousness, by the nurturing love of the Christ, must be opened so that the light of healing might enter there.
Your messenger could recount to you so many experiences with the work she has done with the discarnates and those who are imprisoned on the astral plane without physical bodies, as well as the calls and invocations that the messengers have made to the archangels for the cutting free of these souls. As in the sermon of Jesus,4 they are dazed, they are dull, they are drugged, and they have not the awareness of knowing that they need the healing light of the Christ.
And so, blessed are they who reach out for the hand of God, of Life, of Christ and Buddha and of Mother. Blessed are they who understand that healing requires transformation, that one cannot be healed and retain one’s former consciousness. For the two concepts are contradictory. Healing is the impartation of wholeness.
How often he said, “Be thou made whole!”5For the wholeness of the four lower bodies in alignment is the open door for the flow of light that will continue to heal day by day, month by month, until the whole man is made whole.
Therefore your calls for the freeing of those who are incarcerated should in many ways be for the binding of the entities of rebellion. For rebellion is the wedge of all that transpires that is out of balance. Every form of insanity has its origin in rebellion and in the karma of rebellion. And therefore our sympathy is never with the carnal mind in rebellion, which is enmity with God, but our compassion is with the soul buried within and beneath the rubble of the consequences of this chaos and confusion. Our compassion is with the flame in the heart that is God. Our compassion is with the Christ crucified by the fallen ones, who abuse the consciousness of those who have gone their separatist ways in past incarnations.
Let us, then, throw the spear to puncture the forcefield of planetary rebellion, and let it puncture that substance that has been a pall upon mankind for generations. Let those who would be healers of mankind take up this torch, for it is a part of the initiation of the crucifixion of the Mother. For the four lower bodies of a planet and a people are the Mater-realization of the God flame. They are the Mother, and the Mother aspect must be made whole so that the spirit of fire might once again return to the altar.
And so the healing of the Gadarene demoniac, who came to the fullness of the awareness of Christ, was one of the great miracles.6 It was proof that the Christ in the Son of God is able to cast out the foreigners who invade the temple of the LORD and is able to rebuild that temple from the foundation to the superstructure.
The building of the temple in this age was the great dream of your messenger Mark, and the building of the temple is the building of the body of man, line by line. And as you have selected a place for the house of the Mother and the house of the Buddha and the house of the university,7 you will enter into that great ritual of the building of the temple.
The rebuilding of the four lower bodies is the exercise, the sacred ritual anchored in the physical of the alignment of the cube of consciousness. Most among mankind and the disciples require the plumb line of Truth for the alignment of consciousness. And you have heard of all the world being a little bit queer except thee and me,8 and perhaps sometimes thee and me also being a little bit queer. [Laughter]
And you realize that there are moments in the life of everyone when distortion occurs and people see as though they were seeing through the astral sea. And in fact they do see through the astral sea, and it does distort life and judgment. And pride also distorts judgment, as does ambition and the misuses of every chakra.
Therefore, you see, it is only a question of degree. And after all, can you not say that the folly of following the downward spiral of darkness is insanity itself? Consider, then, the madness of those who are on the mad pace of survival on Terra, survival only of the physical body at the expense of all else.
Therefore, as you come to the place where you are balancing greater quantities of karma, personal and planetary, you come to the supreme testing of the avatars where your assignment after having balanced 51 percent of your karma is to then begin to work away at the transmutation of the entire astral plane as well as your own astral body.
I tell you that the reason the Lords of Karma gave the dispensation for the ascension of souls after the balance of 51 percent is because the next 24 percent is entirely the descent into the astral plane, and this is an even greater challenge than the balancing of the first 51 percent. And so many among mankind who were pursuing the Path, when they came to that level of transmutation, fell back and lost even the 51 percent that they had gained, so treacherous is the walk in the labyrinth of the astral plane.
And now you have been called by Lanello to make your mark, perfection’s mark, and to shoot the arrow for the completion of the balance of 100 percent of your karma so that you might set a good example for the age. And therefore I give to you the admonishment of the Karmic Board that if you will remain after that line of 51 percent, you must take care to see that you hold fast to what you have received from God.
Let every Keeper of the Flame hold fast to the torch of life and keep that flame through the dark hours of the dark night of the soul, passing through those places on the astral plane where mankind are at the lowest levels of self-awareness.
Let, then, the Order of the Emerald Cross be [comprised of] those who will invoke the emerald ray from the heart of Cosmos and Cyclopea and Raphael and Mary and Hilarion and Pallas Athena and the Maha Chohan, the sponsors of this order, and who will invoke the angels of truth and healing and science.
The requirement for serving in this order is to keep your four lower bodies charged and full of that emerald frequency so that you always have a greater light within you than the darkness that contacts you, so that you are never depleted by the crowds who are milling, who are seeking the source of that light and that truth that will make them free.
You must know how to charge the batteries of the chakras with the healing light, to keep them replenished, to know when to withdraw to fast and to pray and to be recharged, and when to come forth to give of that light.
And therefore if you will look with your inner sight, you will see a giant emerald cross suspended over the City of the Angels. It has thirty-three emeralds in the cross, and it is truly the cross of white fire of the overcomers, of the path of science and truth and healing love.
So let it be for the healing of this nation and every nation. Let it be the manifestation of the leaves of the tree of your causal body, of the combined momentum of the members of the Great White Brotherhood ascended and their unascended chelas, that the emerald ray, the emerald cross and its stones shall be the focalization of the attainment of the green band of the causal body of all who make this their mandala, this the mandala of the Mother.
I AM Portia, Goddess of Opportunity. I ask you to write to me a letter expressing your desire for opportunity to serve so that I may present to the Lords of Karma your options, your expressions of love for Saint Germain and for brother and sister on the Path.

2. Maldek and Hedron. Maldek, once a planet in our solar system, was destroyed when its lifewaves waged a war ending in nuclear annihilation. The asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter is the remains of this planet. A group of asteroids closer to the sun is the record and the remains of the planet Hedron, overtaken by the pleasure cult of its lifewaves who, when reincarnated on Earth, became known for their hedonism.
3. Order of the Emerald Cross. This Order is on the fifth ray of truth, science, vision, abundance, and healing, corresponding to the third-eye chakra. This refers to the sermon Jesus gave (in his etheric body) to the rebellious souls who were confined to the depths of the astral plane since the days of Noah, while his physical body lay in the tomb prior to his resurrection. Jesus has told us that he “preached and repreached and spoke again and again to each soul that I could find there who was in chains of bondage and despair.
