“Tarry Ye in the City of Jerusalem until
Ye Be Endued with Power from On High”
Part 2
Let the people of this world have their day of condemnation. It is only a goad to the greater fire and glory and determination and God-mastery of the sons and daughters of God. As your own beloved Mark has said, “Every knock is a boost.”
So whenever you bear the burden of accusation and condemnation and judgment, you are entering into your own initiation, the highest initiation that anyone can know on earth prior to the full glory of the reunion of the ascension. And without the initiation of the crucifixion there is no redemption, there is no avatar, there is no fulfillment of the law of the Christ.
May I offer you, then, this word. May I say to you, then, that when it is made known to you by the angel of your Presence, by the messenger of Almighty God speaking within the temple of your heart, “My beloved one, come. Come to be initiated of the sacred fire. Come. The hour is come for the glorying of God. The hour is come for God to glorify the Son in you. Come, and be not afraid. Be not afraid of the hour of the crucifixion”—when you hear these words spoken within your heart, then I say, run to meet your Saviour! Run to meet your cosmic destiny! In that hour, take your “Mystery of Surrender”1 and give your total surrender and consecration to God, and then be willing to step into the trial by fire.
I give you this counsel, for there are many who have heard, in the hours of the night and who have been told in the retreats of the Brotherhood, that the hour has come for the fiery trial. And they have said, “No, LORD. I am not ready, not yet! Not yet! Give me another day, another round, another cycle.”
And so the Lords of Karma and the Christed Ones have bowed to the free will of the individual, and in full love we have blessed that one to go forth again another round.
May I make known to you the consequences, then? The consequences are that by the postponement of your initiation, others who walk the path of initiation, who are in line to go after you, must wait. And those who are behind them on the Path must also wait. And in effect, therefore, there is the stopping of planetary evolution and initiation, and the chain of hierarchy goes through a deceleration instead of an acceleration process.
Understand, then, that if you will go through an experience of the attenuation of the crucifixion, your suffering will be much greater. And if you draw out, postpone, prolong, and procrastinate the experience of total surrender, you will find that your agony will be far, far greater than my own.
Understand, then, the need to tune into the timetable of your initiation, that in time and space there are precise moments when the fiery cross of Alpha and Omega is anchored within you and when that light must burst forth in the fires of the resurrection to call you forth from the tomb of Mater, to call forth the atoms and molecules that have been limited and bound in the death consciousness.
There is a time, there is a space for this initiation. Therefore, I say, ponder well. Ponder well your place on the Path. Let us have alert sons and daughters of God.
Now, I have told you one of the reasons for my desire to pass to you the increment of this great fire of planetary initiation. It is that you too might partake of that which is accorded to every son and daughter of God.
The second reason, precious hearts, is that we might disperse the hour of the crucifixion and the agony and the suffering of the messenger, the blessed Mother, so that you might carry with her the cross of the age, which is the cross of Saint Germain and the cross of the Divine Woman appearing in every woman on earth. For as you have been told, this is the hour of the crucifixion of woman.
We desire to see, then, not one but increasing numbers of devotees, of disciples, experience that crucifixion of the Mother ray. Let it be for an anointing in the oneness of the Mother flame so that as one body and soul and mind, one in the heart of the love, the very intense love of the messengers, you might also walk these fourteen stations and prove the victory in your four lower bodies.
Beloved hearts, some of you have come to me as your souls have been in the retreats of the Brotherhood, and you have come to me and you have saluted me in your heart and you have said, “Hail, Jesus, my Lord and Master.” You have come to me to ask the favor that you might bear a portion of the world karma that is being borne by our messenger, and I have explained to you the consequences and the difficulties. But nevertheless, upon your request I have given to you a tiny portion of that burden.
And when you awakened once again into your body temples and you found the weight and the burden in those bodies and you found the oppression and the heaviness of the very atmosphere itself upon you, you have groaned and you have almost complained to God, “Why am I so burdened?”
I come to answer your question. It is only and always because you have asked to carry this burden. And in those hours when the burden seems heavy, remember that I am there speaking to you as I spoke of old, “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”2
Let the carrying of world karma, then, be the glorious burden of light, and make it a burden of light by your application to the sacred fire within the heart.
And so, my precious ones, so it is that if you are to receive an increment of the sacred fire from the heart of the messenger as initiation in this age, you will assist in the carrying of the cross. But you must be ready. For we are determined that none shall go out of the way or lose the path of initiation or the light of victory because they have asked to receive the burden of fire and the burden of world karma, and then they have not been able to withstand the weight of that burden.
These are not light matters but ponderous matters, and yet the weight—the weight of the imponderability of the soul’s evolution—is still the light of your own heart and of the Great Central Sun.
My angels are with me. They are ready to dip into the heart of Blessed Mary and of the messenger in order to give to you that portion. But I have instructed them that we will not give that portion during this dictation, but rather we will allow you to meditate and to consider yet a twenty-four-hour cycle so that you may truly prepare yourself by prayer and communion with your own heart flame and receive the directive of your own Christ Self as to what is that good and acceptable will of God.
And therefore I say to you who have come to the New Jerusalem, tarry ye in this city of grace, in the city of Mater, in the City of God until ye be endued with power from on high.3 Tarry ye in the consciousness of the messengers, the overcomers, in the consciousness of those who attended the cross in the hour of the crucifixion. Tarry ye in the Christ consciousness. Sustain it by meditation and long prayer, by decrees and fiats of the Word. Tarry in the consciousness of the ascended masters by listening to our instruction and our dictations and absorbing the Body and the Blood of Christ. For it is the living Word, the spoken Word that you have recorded, that is our communion celebration in this age whereby you drink of the Blood of Christ and you eat of that flesh.4 And so you become a part of the body of God, of the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood.
Let your being that is a cell of light be filled with the cell-consciousness of God. Let it be filled with his Spirit. Let it be filled with his flame. So absorb, assimilate, and take in our little book, the little book that we have written in every dictation and Pearl of Wisdom and Keeper of the Flame Lesson, in everything that we have put forth. So it is the little book that is sweet in the mouth and bitter in the belly.5 Precious ones, so become all that we are.
We stand before you to temper the light of the Holy of Holies so that it might be absorbed by you moment by moment, increment by increment, that the precious identity of your soul might be preserved, fortified, exalted, and finally attain the reunion in the hour of the glory.
I shall come to you again to anoint you with the sacred fire, when by deep deliberation and communion with me and your own God flame you have drawn your conclusion on this matter, which remains the individual decision of every son and daughter on the Path.
We are your mentors of the Spirit, and we take you by the hand to the gate. It is the gate through which you pass in, order to begin the initiation of the personal crucifixion. Once you pass through the gate for this experience, we can no longer hold your hand. You are alone with God and with your own momentum of attainment forged and won within your heart. And therefore the walk on the via dolorosa and the walk to Golgotha must be by your own communion with the Father, with the Son, with the Holy Spirit, and with the Blessed Mother.
Now we take you by the hand so that you might enter into a period of communion and holy deliberation in preparation for that moment when your decision for surrender is a decision for a victory. For there is no other way to pass through the initiation of the crucifixion than by the flame of victory!
Mighty Victory! Victory! Victory! Victory from the Sun! Victory from the eternal One! Victory in the heart of the Father-Mother God! Victory in the cloven tongues of fire!
The result, then, of your consecration and your consummation of the fires of love must be the victory of the resurrection.
I AM Jesus, your Lord and Master, your brother, your very self, your very heart. I AM with you always, unto the fulfillment of the light of life within you.

This dictation by Jesus the Christ was delivered by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet on Saturday, October 9, 1976, during the New Age Discipleship conference, held in Pasadena, California.
1. “Mystery of Surrender.” Jesus is referring to The Fourteenth Rosary, which Mother Mary dictated to Elizabeth Clare Prophet in 1975. Mother Mary had previously dictated thirteen rosaries to Mrs. Prophet. When The Fourteenth Rosary was dictated, it was subtitled “The Mystery of Surrender.” Elizabeth Clare Prophet explains that through the ritual of the surrender rosary, “the Blessed Mother has come to teach us how to surrender, how to let go of a false identity fabricated in Matter. She has come to show us how to release into the fires of the Holy Spirit the struggle and the sense of struggle.... ” In The Fourteenth Rosary booklet Mother Mary teaches: “Give all to God and let him give back to you that which he desires you to keep.... Yes, give everything to him. And while you sleep at night, let the Holy Spirit cleanse and purify every cell and atom, your innermost thoughts and feelings, and each shadowed shaft that hides in the folds of your garment.... Let go of all human attachments. Let go of every ambition except God’s desiring within you to be God.” The Fourteenth Rosary is not a responsive reading, as in the first thirteen rosaries, but should be spoken aloud, alternating with the giving of the Hail Mary as indicated.
